This is a credit card company of unknown origin. The caller ID came up as "Atlantic City NJ" and the number was (609) 318 9785... the message ended with an option to press1 to talk to an operator, or press 3 to end further notices.

These people will never learn. They keep calling no matter what you try. From now on I will send 1088c complaint to the FCC every time they call. Futhermore I will try to sue these people. The law says they must provide a "Do not call policy" when requested. Since this is an automated call you can not request this and you can not call them back this is a clear violation. The fine is minimal but atleast I will start to go after this money until they make me rich or they get the point!!!! I recomend that all people being harassed by these guys go to the FCC web site and print the form out. If not....THIS WILL NEVER STOP!!!

Rec'd a phone call from them on 7/27/12. First time I ever got one, did not answer. Tired of these scams. You can also contact the Better Business Bureau of NJ and complain about this number.

You know, I receive these calls all the time and try looking for info. If they call and you don't answer, don't post. I'm looking for valid information, not what you didn't do. You are just wasting everyone's time. When you have valid info, then post please.

Received several calls so last time I tried to seem interested and bait them into more information.
As soon as I asked for a number to contact them later they flat hung up.

I believe this is a scam to steal private information. DO NOT speak to them!

This should be reported to the FBI as well.

They are trying to gain support for child molesters. They insist that it is a sickness and that federal funding is needed to help combat the disease.

Do not answer the phone or give them anything.  I filed a complaint with the do not call registry.  This is a scam.

We repeatedly receive robo-calls from this company, which identifies itself as "Credit Card Services."  The outgoing message states that they may be able to help with reducing the interest rate on our credit cards.  We don't have any credit cards, and know this is just a cold-call.  The name of the company is misleading, and could lead people to believe they are dealing with the card services department of an existing credit card account.  We are on the do-not-call list, and have also advised this company every time they call to take us off their list (either by pressing "1" and speaking with a live person, or by pressing "3" to be automatically removed).  They call again every couple of months.

This company calls me constantly. It's a robo-call and information elsewhere on the net suggests that they are not affiliated with any legitimate credit card company. So beware. They probably just want your confidential information. They may pass that information along to a quasi-legitimate card issuer, and you may get a card (probably issued by a dodgy company from a state with bad consumer-protection laws) but they still have your information, and that's all they want.
They call themselves Cardmember Services and the Caller ID picks up Card Services.

They hung right after I caled. Caller Id put them in NJ and the the name on my caller ID was Card Services. Of course this a scam like all those others:
    Please read:
When they ask to press a 1 or any other number on your phone  don't do it. NO way, when you do that you could be connected to a long distance over seas number you'll be charged for, this is one of the ways these scams make their money, even if you hand up they don't care they made money by you having to pay for that call. Only press numbers of a place you know for sure (or bank etc or a number you called that is legitimate)- and again that red flag should go up when offered a big prize for a few seconds up your time. I just hung up, I hope you do to.
On my called ID it displayed Card Services
    NOTE:
If the area code is 284, 809 or 876, you've called Jamaica, the Dominican Republic or the British Virgin Islands, new hotbed homes of telephone scams. Similar cons are also run out of other Caribbean islands.
For these calls, you'll typically pay $1.49 to $3.99 per minute, depending on the plan and carrier. You're never told this, but the numbers function like American "premium rate" lines that use the 900 area code, with sky-high rates that are split between phone companies and those who operate the lines.
Dial one of these Caribbean numbers and chances are you'll get pitched for some scam. But the thieves' real goal is often just to keep you on the line as long as possible and maximize their take. You'll endure long holds, frequent transfers and lots of small talk. Result: A call lasting just a few minutes can cost more than $20, a charge you discover only when your phone bill arrives. Play it safe and just hang up.

Got a call from these scammers.  Did not answer.
I have a Panasonic cordless/answering system and have found I can block up to 30 numbers.  Am up to seven now and when I fill it up, will buy a second set that will give me 30 more blocks.  Other systems may do this also but it's what I have.
Trying to get my wife to not answer if from an area we don't use.
