Left a robocall - telling us that we had a tax debt, blah blah Obama, blah blah.

We are in the 612 area code.

VERY PREDATORY type robo-call.

I'm not a Sr. Citizen -- but I believe THIS robocall would FREAK a senior.It's very accusatory that you have a TAX DEBT. I tried to call back, but got a robocall response and urged to "leave my name and phone number" to get a call back. I ranted "SHAME ON YOU! This is a fear-invoking call that Sr. Citizens are likely to fall prey to. You're being predatory. SHAME ON YOU."

It reminds me of the other 612 robocall where a guy who does a dandy job of ACTING that he's a delivery guy with a package for you.

WHO IS THIS OUTFIT? They've GOTTA be the same.

And I'm thinking they'll plead protection under the 1st Amendment -- but the FCC might think otherwise.

Received the same phone call from this phone number a few different times over the course of the past week; called the number back because it was in my area code that I live; you get a recorded message to press certain options; I hung up and did not respond.  Not sure who or why they are calling; they never leave a VM on my cell #.  When I try to search their phone number online, it says that it is from another cell# located in the St. Paul area.

This same phone number keeps calling my cell phone each week; more than once a day.  I am going to report it to the FTC and place a block on my cell #.  No VM is ever left, and I am tired of these kinds of calls.

do not talk to them...its a scam...and talking or being polite does not do any good excepts encourages them to call back..ignoring is the best option. I have dealt with this situation also with overseas calls routing through the computers to appear to be coming from the states..I contacted FBI FTC BBB the Canadian form of the FBI because they are trying to come through there as well. It is not to be taken lightly, so contact the FTC especially. They may even call your workforce posing as lawyers..most can not speak proper English..have thick Indian or foreign accents or started using comp bot voices..embarrassing at first..but invades our personal privacy. Do not speak at all to them..do not verify your number, address, name..accounts..social security numbers..not anything. They sometimes have a small piece and try to put it together by what you offer them. Eventually the calls lessen..and for awhile are gone all together. But they creep back up when you least expect it. When people are to receive their tax returns is when it seems to heighten because they believe you will pay to just make it go away. Trust me..don't do it. They will come back for more the passed stories have said. They will start out small and work their way up. New day and age...new con...sad ..but true. Have patience and just keep reporting the numbers. Only thing we can do. Pretty soon it will be just an easy routine that you will do without thinking. But it wont get done unless we report it. Your local police department will not be enough for this. You can report to them as well if you like but the FTC has more access in that area.

Yep telling me I have a tax debt. I pressed 7 to be removed from the list. Scam.

When you press some number the scammers tell you, not only are you NOT removing your number from that list, you are confirming it so it will be added to more sucker lists. You will now get more junk phone calls. Scammers are counting on your ignorance.
