BIG TIME SCAM -- please do not fall for this!!  Got a robocall saying that I had a charge at Amazon -- if not -- call this number.  These crooks are trying to steal your personal info and empty your bank account.

Robo call saying a charge will be made on amazon account today and shipped out.  If order was not placed then call phone number immediately.

This came after another Amazon scam: from a friend's e-address saying his credit card was not working and would I buy an Amazon gift card for his friend.  He'd pay me back.  Beware!

These human wastes called and left a message with my 90 year old mother in New York with the same scam. It got her all upset and I had to calm her down assuring her it's a scam to get her bank account information. She played me the message, it said $579.99 charged to her Amazon account of which she has none. Fortunately she knows to call me regarding anything suspicious.

Got the call too claiming to be Amazon (yet my call filter showed it as a call from France).

8/6/2021 Just got the same phone message as stated above. My called ID said the number came from 331348747922. Awful long number for the United States.  Hate scammers....

Robot voice wanting me to call “amazon”

Just got the same scam call. They were asking for my email address saying someone in Ohio named Kevin had purchased an iphone. When I asked them why they didn't have my email address handy if it was Amazon, they got flustered and hung up. They said they were "transferring the call to a supervisor" and then it was the same guy! Don't fall for this! I didn't see a charge on my Amazon or Bank. When i said I was hanging up to call my bank, they hung up.

Amazon scam similar to calls reported even down to the "purchase" dollar amount of $579.99.  Same M.O. as reported: call 612 746 7245 if you didn't make the purchase.

ROBOCALL. This IS a scam...NOT a suspected scam. Number that called claiming a high dollar charge on Amazon had been made was 1-618-681-5485. Caller instructed me to call 1-612-746-7245 to prevent processing the Amazon transaction charge (which, of course was bogus). SCAM!!!

In order to protect itself from Vultures with Law Degrees, this site has to limit the description option to "Scam suspicion".
However Federal law protects them when regular people (such as you or I) post their personal opinions about these calls being a scam.
I wholeheartedly agree with you that these "Amazon" calls are total scams regardless of the number it appears to come from (which changes with every call) or the number we are told to call back (which seems to change every week or so).
Keep letting other people know when you get these calls!

Same thing for us! On August 9th. Ironically we just received one from the "Social Security Administration" this afternoon! Nasty little turds!!!

Caller id said it was from France, so why would I call Amazon

Call came from #328540816545 Huy, Liege, Belgium stating to call 612-746-7245 concerning Amazon purchase of $79.99. Did not answer call yet they left a message. I live in the USA. This is a scammer

Just had a call with recording saying the same as the posts on this page. Saying I had a 500 dollar order from Amazon, if not call this number 612 746 7245, which led to a biggest scam out there page. Please becareful. Don't return call.

Same thing just happened to me. The phone number came from Belgium and yes I was asked to call 612-746-7245 to verify a purchase from
Amazon.   I just googled the 612 number and saw everyone’s posts.  Thank you for reporting this.
