Called under pretences to fix my computer

Wanted to talk about my computer.  Told him I don't have one.

called and told me I was having windows problem. I told him my windows were just fine, and were open on such a nice day!  this is Definitely a SCAMMER

Computer, wanted me to check for virus, told him my machine is fine, he then hung up LOL

Caller said i had a computer virus..Told him he was a nasty scammer
he hung up..Dont be folled by these con men

Someone seems to want everyone to believe this number is randomly calling to say you have a computer virus, as if a computer would know what number to give to the scammer in order to call you in the first place. Most scammers aren't that dumb and highly unlikely to succeed, let alone calling just the right people who would come here to post about it, all in such a short time!

He asked if this was "saying my moms last name" I said no, this is her daughter... are you the owner of the computer? Now we just had a death in the family.... so I am guessing he found the name that way.  but a HUGE scammer, cause mom doesn't have a computer . lol

Called and wanted to check computer. I hung up

He said my computer had a virus.  I told him thank you and that I would take my computer to the doctor right away.  Could here him saying "no no no no" as I hung up. LMAO  Do they really think this scam (which has been out there for as long as there has been internet) will ever work? Really?  Don't fall for it.  It is just another SCAM.

Got a call today from that same ph# while I was out. Wish I was home when they called because I really like messing with them because sometimes they get very angry when you mess with them

I've had the same call claiming to be from Microsoft. I reached out to Microsoft about this and was told that "Microsoft does not make unsolicited maintenance calls neither do we hire third party contractors to do the same."

Similar call in Sudbury, Canada to fix a security leak from my computer!
I kept him busy for a while till he gave up.

I'm surprised Microsoft didn't tell you they would have no way of knowing about any issues unless you call them first.

He called and asked for the person who uses the computer.  I told him we didn't have one...and he was ....... stupid.  I hung up!
