Called saying that it was with respect to Tax fraud and I need an attorney

Yes, we received that call just about a half hour ago also. Just a fishing call I'm sure as they did not ask for any name at all, just a "recorded" message stating exactly what yours did. If it was the government they would send a letter first or call you asking for you by name, not just start a recording when you pick up the phone.... no worries !! Beware!!

Yes I received the same call with the same recording from 2 different numbers today.  613-366-3267 and 343-885-7640 same recording with the same name of Shawn White.  100% this is a scam, no not return these calls

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Second call on a different number (my work) from a different number, this time the number rang back and he answered. So I said i received two calls from you on two numbers but you gave two totally different callbacks and I find that rather odd. He rambled in coherently heard "call centre" and he hung up... Think i threw him there?
First call came in from 1-343-885-7640 and second was 1-613-366-3267.
I just might call him back again and say I don't appreciate being hung up on....

I received a call from 613 366 3267 on my work number.  Person claimed to be Shawn White from the Tax Crime Investigation of the CRA.  Said I was suspected of tax evasion and that I or "my attorney" had to call back right away.  I am a lawyer and was rather intrigued by this, so I called back.  The call was answered by a guy who sounded just like the Shawn White who had left the message but he gave a different name.  It sounded like a call centre in the background.  He put me on hold a couple of times and then said I had better have "my attorney" call him.  I said "I am an attorney" and he hung up.  This is obviously a scam of some sort.  I talked to my tax lawyer about it because I wondered what the point of it was if all this guy was going to do was hang up on people who called back.  She told me that they just make random calls until they find the right victim, usually an elderly person.  They then scare them into sending money.  This happened to my tax lawyer's grandmother and she took a cash advance and wired the money.  My lawyer also warned me that if these people get hold of someone's SIN  they can cause a lot of havoc and grief so if you have given your SIN to someone like this you have to report that to the police.  But this will result in there being a flag on your SIN for 5 to 10 years, which will make it harder for you to get credit in the future and you would be at risk for identity fraud.  So the lesson is: Do not speak to these people, and if you do, do not give them any personal information such as your SIN or credit card information!

I got a call from 1 343 885-7640 this morning claiming to be Shawn White with CRA fraud blah blah blah. I tried calling back immediately and call was not answered after 4 attempts. Got a msg  late afternoon the same day telling me the hot line # is     (613) 366-3267. This time it said the PERSON i'm trying to reach is unavailable. It sounded like a call center in the background. If i do get a live person to chat with i will invite them to come & visit me in the woods where i live to discuss their concerns. Scum of the Earth to prey on the vulnerable. Glad i found this feed to share my experience.

Just got a call 8h30 am on a Saturday!!! feb 20th, 2016...exact massege as above was left!!!

I just had  the same message from the revenue agency on a saterday morning..!  Ha ha ha!!!

Ha Ha Ha .. i think the CRA have not enought personnal to kick those dumb pranker's [***] ...  so Pranker boy come and get me  ...  Goooood byyyeeee....

Received  a message supposedly from the Canadian Revenue Agency, on Saturday morning (Feb. 20,), 9:41AM. Never used my name of my husband's name. Recorded message asking to return the call ASAP to Shawn White - hotline no 613-366-3267. Several obvious grammar mistakes in the recorded message.

Received voicemail saying I had to call Officer Shawn White at his hotline # 613 366 3267.  If I or my attorney didn't call back the legal situation unfolds on me.

Same with me, they told - it's from Revenue Canada, wanted money send from post office immediately to have file in court closed.

I received a voice message with the same wording. I looked up the number on line and was glad to see that this is a prank.

This number has been calling me since the 19th of Feb 2016 the nmbers used were 613 336 3267 and 613-707-0014 now after reading through some other complaints I see there is a third number 343 885 7640.
As I was writing this out a fourth number just called 204-953-4444 .So that makes at least four numbers to watch for
(1)  1-613-707-0014
(2) 1-613-366-3267
(3) 1343-8857640
(4) 1-204-953-4444

Again saying he was officer Shaun white with the CRA  be warned this is a scam as soon as he heard my voice he went from Muslim to [***] white boy in a instant and sounded like he dam near [***] his pants from the shock and some how he knew my Name my cell number and a my address do not trust this it is purely a threat to scare you
I repeat this is a scam.
