Claim to be CRA and ask to pay balance

I received a call today from CRA claiming there was a lawsuit against me for tax invasion. He even game me a branch ID # CRM 2263 - told him to not call this number again as this was true I would have heard from the government in a different manner.  This is fake calls - shortly after this call another called from # 714-001-6726 but I didn`t answer.

LOL...  CRA-  claiming the police are coming to pick me up.  Boy, that's service.  A Canadian "agency" saying the police in my area are picking me up.  Yeah-  can we say BLOCKED?  Disconnect call?  So damn stupid it's crazy.

I received a phone message from this number telling me they were coming after me

We have the same type of scam taking place here in the US,  but in our case the calls are from the IRS. Occasionally they will forget which country they are calling.
