Tony Williams left a message claiming to be from the CRA and there is a law suit out against me for income tax filings from 2008 to 2014.  Lots of other phone conversations in background.  I shall return call and see what he has to say.

The CRA called me also.  This is the second time they called.  Same thing, there was lots of other phone conversations in the background.  I knew this was a scam, because the first time I talked to them, I asked them a number of questions that they could not answer correctly.  Since this was obviously a scam, I had a little fun and kept them on the phone for almost 1/2 hour.

This is the second day they called.  Someone who could not speak proper English said I better not delete message and that I will be sorry if I did not get back to them.  Right away I knew it was a scam because they did not have my full name, and I know that the CRA know everything about me.

I simply googled the phone number and, (expectantly) found this site.  I feel sorry for people who arae not as astute and will get duped by this scam.

Two messages left on my answering machine.  One from Don Costa and one from Marcel.  Could not understand the speakers very well.  Told me there were from Revenue Canada and I should call back as there was a filing investigation against my name.  Both messages left after hours.  Noisy background.

Had the same call this afternoon...it's a scam!

A client received a call from this number.  They were very threatening and wanted her SIN number and Visa card to pay the fictitious debt she supposedly owed to Revenue Canada.  Luckily she was smart enough to call me first.

Don't give them anything.

Received this message this afternoon and immediately reported it to local police  it is a scam. All calls should Immediately be reported as they are fraudulent

My home received the same call June 3rd. It was quite funny the conversation that was had. I knew it was a scam because the first thing that he asked was "has the fraud squad contacted you?"  to which i responded no. Then he followed with "you owe CRA $2000 on old taxes". once they said $2000 flat rate I laughed...When has anyone ever owed a flat rate when owing on back taxes? Old debts on taxes never end up a flat rate due to the interest rates the gov charges.

Since the first call they have contacted my home 3 different times, they are very persistent so much that they don't care when you hang up on them. When i hung up on them they called back seconds later to continue there story of how i need to pay this debt.  SCAM

The thick accent is a giveaway.  The fraud originates in India or Pakistan.

Just received a call from this number, reporting an error on my 2008 tax return.  Wanting 1800.00
Just hung up on them, maybe will have a little fun with them if they call again.  Some people have all the nerve.

I just got a call noon today (june 8th) saying ther are law suits against me.i find it quite strange a reputible comany would not have a thousand voices speaking behind them..i could barely understand a woan the woman said other that she sould chinese - 1-613-366-3299....im not answering to these people

i just got a call today from a woman that said i have law suits against me..she called me by my first name.which i thought was strange..i could barely hear her..a good comapny would not call like that..so im not answering to them..(sorry for above errors i clicked before i read.)

Date 8/5/15 10:45   Call this morning and called himself officer John Carter with a very bad  East Indian accent. Our conversation got very heated and the threaten to issue a arrest warrent. At this point I hung up.

Same thing with me. At 17:50. I told them that Revenu Canada are close by 17:00 and I ask for the  number to call back, and they gave me this number for Officer John Carter. I could hear the telemarketers in the backgroung.

Got two calls today.  The first women had such a thick Chinese accent and the background noise of a "call centre" made me just hang up.  Second call was from a guy with heavy French accent and lots of background noise.  He said he was with the CRA and I owed 1871.00 from a previous tax bill. I told him he was full of crap and I wanted to speak to his boss who could hopefully speak better English.  He told me the Sherrif would be at my door soon to arrest me since I am home now.  Really such a SCAM

Just got  a call that was the same as people above.  Barely understood English saying she was from CRA and a file was launched against me.  Took playing the message back 4 times to get the number and I immediately googled it to find this information.

Said his name was Brandon and he was from Canada Revenue Agency andwas calling for my husband. My husband was not home but I became suspicious and checked the number and found out it has been used by others to try to defraud them.

Called me twice, on June 5 and then today on June 10, both times were with an agent with a super heavy Indian accent, difficult to understand. Said I owed taxes, need to give them everything - credit card, banking info, SIN, the whole shebang. Threatened me with jail time if I don't comply. I laughed it off the first time but the second time it was more menacing, so I reported it to RCMP.

THIS IS A SCAM and I called back on my office phone and got a fast busy every time. What happened next was bizarre...someone called me saying that they were calling me back and were from CRA so they must have trapped my number. THIS IS A SCAM!! I also did a trace route on the number and a Cambridge Ontario local clac/telephone provider is providing service to these guys!!! The telephone service company that owns this landline is FIBERNETICS CORPORATION in Cambridge Ontario. Everyone should call them and ask like I did..WHY are you providing service to this org. I have also called the local Cambridge newspaper to see if they will run the story.
