I received a phone call this morning and a message was left that Kevin Johnson (had an East Indian accent) was calling from Canada Revenue Agency.  The CRA was filing a lawsuit against me and that I was to call this number 613-366-3310 to find out more details.  He repeated this and said not to disregard this message.
Received another call from the same phone number and nothing was said, but I could hear the same background noise as was in the initial call.  He/she hung up.

I recieved the same message by the same numb. I recieved a second call from this numb when I answered a man with East Indian accent said he was from CRA and I had been audited by the Federal Gov. He proceeded to say that there was 1500 outstanding and it was to be paid immediately or the police would be at my door within 24hrs to arrest me on Federal Fraud.  I hung up checked my email and personial CRA account to see if there were any notices about this. Nothing was there.

Same call, details as Robesmit.  He used a familiar version of my first name rather than the formal version by which I am known at CRA.

As of last week I was sweet with CRA.

I received 4 phone calls from this particular number:

June 5 - 11:24am

Didn't leave a message on the first 3 calls

Called Today June 8 at 6:06pm and left a message on my answering machine

Very unusual message with strange background sounds and Arabic sounded person claiming to have me give him a call, etc...

I called the number back... it has elevator music going so I hangedup..

I have contacted the CRA to have them investigate this particular number/person as it is a FEDERAL OFFENCE and he will be dealt with from them.

Caller left message from 613 366 3310.  Did not call back and will not.  Complete waste of time.  Call leads back to Fibernetics Oration on Ottawa.  Nice try, Bozos!  CRA should be notified.

Received same voice message from same caller ("Kevin Johnson" with an East Indian accent) at 8:52am. Call display lists "unavailable name and no." which is the first clue that this is not CRA. The warning at the end "do not disregard this message" is clearly borrowed from debt collector scripts and is meant to frighten recipients into compliance with these fraudulent demands. I hope CRA or RCMP look into this.

Of note, CRA states that they do not leave any personal information on voice messages and all their call-back #s are 800 numbers.

i received the exact same call this morning in Ottawa.
"CRA" called to say they had done an audit, I owe $1200 - they sent me 3 notification - and now there was a warrant for my arrest.

I got two of those calls a few days ago. This cam-joc's English is almost unintelligible, even without the background noise. You'd expect someone calling from Eastern Ontario (613 area code) and working for the federal government would be able to pronounce my French-Canadian surname properly. Maybe CRA would act if I filed a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission and claimed that my fundamental Canadian rights are being violated because CRA hires people who cannot provide government services in one of the two official languages of my choice.

June 12, 2015 - Similar to many above, I received a call from someone with a very heavy Indian or middle eastern accent claiming to be an auditor with CRA. He stated that I was audited for the last 7 years and owned $2100. When I asked why I had not been notified of an audit, he stated that CRA had sent 3 notices and I was in danger of being prosecuted. When I insisted I hadn't received anything, he said it wasn't his concern and I needed a lawyer. I hung up at that point realizing it was a scam since CRA does not do business in this way.

The fraud is based in India or Pakistan - the number you see in the call display is faked.

About 15 minutes ago, a number 613-366-3310 called me saying they were from Revenue Canada Agency and said "there was a mis-file in 2008-2014 and i owed them 1400$). they threatened to file a law-suit against me and seize my account and access to it. the man in a Indian accent told me he would see me in court.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian resdents.

Got my call today. Same as calls above. Was trying to press me to indicate if I had done this accidentally or intentionally /after reading the 'counts' against me. Ridiculous.

Received two such phone messages last week. One from a man with an East Indian accent saying about overdue taxes,etc. none of it true. Second call, I think they forgot the phone signal was still on and heard many voices speaking loudly in and East Indian language.

Phone rang at 3:00 P.M.  I realized that it was a "strange" call from an unknown number, so immediately when I heard a male voice, greeted him with a "F*** off" . . . and hung up.

Looks like I may have saved myself some B.S.?  :-)

"Kevin Johnson" phoned me at 6:15 tonight claiming to be from the CRA. The time on a Friday night was the first giveaway this was not from our government! He claimed they had done an audit on my taxes and I owe an additional $1994.00. (which was odd as there was no paperwork sent to my home, my taxes are done by an accountant) He said they were going to press criminal charges. I said "Pardon?!" and he replied "Go to the Hell". I hung up and called back and the idiot answered saying "CRA". My son called the number and told him his name was Ben Dover and he was calling about message he received about owing taxes. Mac had a little fun with the idiot. :-)

Yesterday I received a call from 613-366-3310 about a so-called CRA debt, and I reported it to the Spam Reporting Centre after a few unsuccessful attempts to contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

It appears they've been doing this for several weeks now and I don't understand why the operation hasn't been shut down. They told me I had to give them $300 immediately or I'd be arrested and my total debt was about $1600. I checked with Revenue Canada and they told me my taxes were up-to-date and the CRA owes me money.

And so it continues, I received the same phone call today as Robesmit.  Same number and accent. He didn't get very far into his spiel as I called him a liar and hung up. I am aware of these scams going on.

i have received 2 calls from 613 3663851 which is fibernetics Oration very clear english saying a federal petition has been filed against me it will go to federal court ( they must mean, superior court of ontario ) or i will be arrested soon if i dont call this number back immediately.now im worried because i dont know what to pack for jail i guess casual is a safe bet.
