Claim to be calling from revenue Canada, think is a scam artist randomly calling people for fraud

Claiming to be Canada Revenue - since when did they finish any conversation with :May God Bless You"!!!  Scam of some sort.  Call received this morning (June 18/15)

I just got this call a few minutes ago. These scammers have way too much time on their hands!! 😳

I just got the same call on the phone while I was out. So much a scam because Revenue Canada would use a real person to call you and leave a real message if you were not there. None of this robotic voice crap.  IG-NORED!

Received a call from this number telling me there was a lawsuit filed against me.  They told me it was Revenue Canada calling, but he did end the call with God Bless you

this number left message. says this is from Canada Revenue Agency and there is a lawsuit against you. end with God Bless you.

Just got a call to call back on 613-366-3339 saying Revenue Canada has a warrant against me. and in the end says God bless you... I am so tired of these scam calls!!

I got the same message as above.... What a scam...it Totally annoyies me that people actually do this to other people... And then say GOD BLESS at the end of the message!!!!!

I just got the same message on my voicemail - first part was cut off (I guess their robot is dying!). The message started by quoting a "case number" and requesting a callback to this #.
Then, 2 mins. later, I got a call from another #, 613-927-9974 that hung up as soon as they heard my outgoing msg. I suspect this is yet another # perpetrating this same scam.
The real CRA does use live people to leave you messages, and if they don't get you on the phone, they will send you snail mail.
When the REAL CRA wants $$ from you, (and have deemed you uncooperative) you will know it -- they don't start lawsuits against you, nor are there police waiting outside your house to arrest you -- they blithely freeze (and sometimes drain) all of your bank/investment accounts AND garnishee 100% of your paycheck. You'll get the notification in the mail after this has happened.

Same as the others: "law suit pending against you". I played the message back 5 times, hearing it as "Kennedy Revenue Agency. Nothing on Google for Kennedy Revenue Agency.  When my friend called the number (613) 366-3339  no one picked up the phone.  Then it occurred to me that I might have misheard, and it could be Canada Revenue Agency. I'm glad to hear from others that CRA does not operate this way and also to be wary of the second number the scammer has apparently used: (613) 927-9974. Thank you for that.

Just received the message, called the number a few times and finally reached someone. Tried to scare me into sending them money there on the spot. When I did not fall for their con, "don't laugh you son-of-a-*&^%$" and hung up.

The authorities are well aware of this scam. Charges will be laid once the ongoing investigation produces an identity and proof of intent to defraud. If anyone has any questions or concerns, simply contact the Canada Revenue Agency at 1-800-959-8281.

Call claimed to come from Revenue Canada saying that I owed money and I would be audited. An arrest warrant had been issued. A scam.

I received a call today from 855-881-8141 saying I owed back taxes, was being sued, and I needed to pay $4,000 immediately to avoid going to jail. Total scam and have reported this to both CRA and the Canadian anti fraud center (1-888-495-8501).
