Electronic voice says he's from Revenue Canada.  Says I'm going to be under arrest??

This number called my home. Calgary police said the persons behind this are scammers and to ignore.

Received a call from 613-366-3491 from a recorded message claiming to be from Canada Revenue Agency, stating that there was a lawsuit against me (without stating my name) and that they were trying to get ahold of me repeatedly and to call the number given.

The phone line was busy, even after hours (which was stupid to start with).

Scam.  Ignore.

Received a call from this number.. Recording states they have been trying to reach me for the past few days.. That CRA has filed a lawsuit against me... That I need to call the number back.
This is the 2nd call I have received..
Already know it's bogus..

Received the electronic message saying : call from CRA and they open the file against us and we need to call them back on this number :613 366-3491.
It's the scam, ignore it.

I received a phone call today from someone who said they were from CRA. They said that there was a warrant out for my arrest for tax fraud.  He had my address and name and had detailed information about money owed and how they tried to contact me.  It was so detailed they had a reference number they gave me and dates and times of when they tried to contact me.  They said I owed money and that I had choices of what I could do.  He said if I took it to court and lost it would cost $7000.  If I want to avoid the courts I court clear all charges by paying the amount owed.  When I said I would have to call CRA he said that I was talking to them and if I disconnected the call they would not be able to help me and I would have a warrant, they would seize my bank account and passports.  Very sneaky.  I called CRA and was told it was a scam.  Nasty people.

They called me again. I'm wondering why the CRA wants me to suck their #$@%??? The fun thing is that you can call them back and they get really mad  :) especially when you call them on their BS.

Just got a message from these scammers.

I heard about this scam on the CBC a couple of weeks ago, and they suggested to buy a whistle or get an airhorn and blast it into the phone...they won't call back...

I got a call from 613 366 3491 about not paying taxes properly. I got really mad because it is not true and they insisted.
They also said to call the RCMP for me to be arrested. I call this number several time and it's always busy!!!
Just bull [***].

This is the third call we received from 613-366-3491.  The second time they called they left the message that there was a warrant out of my arrest.  I called the RCMP and they gave me a 1-800....  I called that number and was told to call the RCMP!!  Apparently, this 1-800 number only deals with people who have been scammed!!!
Someone should be able to fine these awful people.

I got a call from this number twice now. Yesterday it was at 6:17 am. I decided to play along for a while and then started to ask are you single? what are you wearing? are you wearing underwear, what colour is it? etc. When he did finally get very upset I said I know it's a scam and that CRA would not call at this hour of the morning. Click. :D  That was fun.

Second time they called I questioned them if this is another b.S. phone call and they hung up.Idiots!!!

This has been the mother of all scams. Almost clever enough. Looking legit by using the Canadian revenue number.
attempt to extract personal information.
Ask for your  email password.
predetermine home address.
Threatened legal action unless your  fully complian
exact amounts are typically   disclosed.
instructions that resemble a financial abduction.
Fraudulent behavior varies province to province state to state.
I invested a portion of the afternoon,  read other related  complaints.
Numbers that are generated and show up on most caller ID phones are traced back to
states primarily Chicago. Theyre Actually  Using a landline. I've found the zip code even the residential address.
Thanks to google maps. Double whammy  . Intrusive behavior but little or no recourse.

I got a call from a person who "said" from CRA from the number 613 366 3491 saying that i didnt file my income tax right and that they tried to sent me a letter and we were not home to recieve it. When i refused information he swore at me and told me i would be arrested.

I got called this morning at 7am from this  phone #613-366-3491 and said that CRA has filed a lawsuit against me. I am a finance Guy I knew CRA never do that. Most of the time I have to deal with CRA as finance individual. I asked him, what's your name, what is your Employee ID # , what is your phone # etc.with angry voices. He sacred and disconnect my call.

The guy who called me from this # couldn't pronounce several English words properly and was obviously reading from a script. I didn't think of this at the time, but I'm pretty sure that anybody making phone calls on behalf of a federal government agency has to be bilingual. I would bet that if I had asked him anything in French, the conversation would have ended quite quickly. Pour qui travailles-tu? (Who do you work for?) should do it. If that's wrong, please correct me. My french is extremely rusty.

told me a warrant was being issue for my arrest if I didn't make up for the misfiling of my taxes and that I could ow up to $16,000 if I didn't pay the $1400 I owed

been getting these calls for a while, I think the only solution is having VOIP calls blocked from some of these third world country's such as India
