Left a message to our answering machine saying his name is Daniel Watts from CRA and we need to call him right away for a case of tax evasion that will be filed to a court house, otherwise we will be arrested. He has an accent, sounds like an old man with the sound of 3h3h for the last four digit number 3838. He did not mention who he is looking for, except "you"  Sounds like it was rehearsed.

Received a call this morning from James Brown, heavy Indian accent, stating he was with CRA claiming I owed 95,000 in back taxes. My accounts would be frozen, DL obtained, passport taken. Be aware.

They keep calling, every few days 😒. Telling me is CRA and that I'm going to jail. They never say who the are calling for though lol

When i called back and mentionned that they sound like a fraud themself, he hungup on me.

Left several message on voice mail... usually 2-3 hours intervals stating he was CRA and needed to call him right away to avoid being arrested for tax evasion.  It's getting very tiring....

Same as others.  Name sounded like Daniel White.  Supposedly from CRA.  Same threat that I would be arrested for tax fraud,  Did not return call

Same as above. I didn't let him get past his name and CRA before I hung up. He sounded Nigerian to me. If he calls back I shall tell him the call is being traced and that I'm RCMP!

The caller said his name is Daniel White, and he works with the CRA. And that I am being charged with tax evasion.  If i don't call him back right away I will be arrested.  He never did say my name, just that the charge was in "your name."  SCAM!!!

I received a voice-mail from this number. While they did not even mention my name, they told me I had to call back to avoid being arrested for tax fraud.
I called the number back and asked what kind of scam they're doing. The guy was kind of nasty. I asked him what he's doing and he asks me what I'm doing.
So I say, "I'm not doing tax fraud, so can you stop calling me"
Then the guy says he's not going to stop and asks me what do I think I can do about it.
I say I'm not sure, then he hung up.

I'm going to collect a lot of quarters and call this number from a variety of pay phones and bug them with a bunch of b.s, see how they enjoy it.

Received two calls from them today, pretty cocky little fella once he exposed himself as a spineless little
%#&k, Ive returned the call twice using a *67 prefix, it can be fun

Got the exact same message. When i tried to phone back, it would not go through.

Oh it'll go through, you just have to keep trying. #67 is a good idea, pretend you want to make a payment, but don't give any real info he gets quite annoyed,
Unfortunately Telus wont and RCMP apparently cant do anything until someone falls for the scam and gives up info and $,  its pretty sad.

I just came home to find the same message on my answering machine. have contacted RCMP who gave me
number to call tomorrow and report it to the canadian Anit fraud dept.so I will contact the number in the
morning and give them info...

Received call at 10:02 am from phone No. 613-366-3838 . Person on other end of line was speaking in a very
heavy accent, unfamiliar to me. Message very threatening , stating that the were from cra, and they are
investigating  tax fraud, against our phone No. Person went on to state that we should call him or we could
be arrested. Have received these calls previously . TOTALLY RIDICULOUS THE NUMBER OF PHONE CALLS
RECEIVED ON OUR LAND LINE.

Same thing just happened to me.  Called them back and they answer "Canada Revenue Agency".  Given the fact that they are posing as a Federal Agency, shouldn't this be a federal offence?

I just received a call and could not understand voice message, heavy accent.  Call back and said I was going to be arrested by police because of fraud with my Income tax, he, Keneth Webb, said he is CRA agent.
I said I did not believed that was true, he said, wait for the police to arrived.
What are this people doing?

CRA Phone Scam. Same story as all the other posts. Calls received are from a call centre overseas. When you call the number they gave to call back, it is a man who speaks English (North American) very well, with hardly any accent. I am so fed with them calling me, I have decided to keep calling them.

Just got the same message , since I know I am not defrauding the government he can go and stick it.

Got exactly same call from this number from CRA Daniel White. First call said nothing, and after 2 hours another call played a record that I got tax issue, and might be arrested if I don't go further.

What are these guy doing? Can we report somewhere this?

I've called this number and they actually said it's CRA. IT'S clearly a a spam call
