Called my wife at home claiming to be CRA.  We both called back the number.  When we starting asking questions they hung up on us.  I think this is a scam

Call from someone fron "CRA" advising we still owe back revenue tax and could be arrested.  We just hang up.  Have had about 6 of these calls

As above had nasty message on answering machine advising that I could face criminal charges for tax evasion and fraud.  When I called back the number I was hung up on several times without anyone speaking and then when someone did answer as soon as I said I was calling about a message from CRA they hung up in my face.  Seems like a scam to me as well.

I have had 3 messages left on my answering machine.  First 2 told me to call a 703 area code cause I owed money to the Internal Revenue Agency - that is the american equivalent to CRA.  The latest call told me they were from Canada Revenue but told me the "County Sheriffs" were "gonna come and arrest me"!!!  We don't have Sheriff's in Canada.  These people are idiots.  But there "scare" tactics might actually cause some people real distress, until they realize it is a scam.  the Canada Revenue Agency would NEVER call on the phone and threaten anybody.

Found voicemail very very similar to what others describe an hour ago. Have not called back. It just souded very fishy. Than found this page. Scam as I expected.

They left several messages. When I called them back, they hung up on me. I kept calling back until someone actually answered. She had the nerve to tell me to stop calling them!
I told her that since they called me repeatedly, perhaps they had something to say to me? She then asked me who I was. I told her that since they had called me several times, they must know who I was. Then I asked that she tell me a bit about them. At that point she hung up.
These are terrible and very stupid people.

I just got a message same as all above. From Revenue Agency, they asked to call them back at 613-366-7039. The message sounds like a threat. I would just ignore it. Thanks everyone for sharing.
