They called left a nasty message said they were from Canada revenue agency, lol  tried to call number back disconnected scam

Received a similar call today.  Said they were from the CRA.  Tried to call back but it goes nowhere.

Call from CRA Officer Jonathan Knight who requested a call back. Stated that I should not disregard the call as it would be a Federal Offence from my end

I got a call also o  same day.  gentleman left a msg saying that he was from Revenue Canada and if I did not call back would be charged with a got a
offense.

I also got a call today, but unlike you smart people I thought he was serious and I got extremely upset and my young children were in the car and they started to cry, it was only after he mentioned western union that I got suspicious. I then had my son record the call and took the guys bluff and drove right to a police station, he then hung up. Went inside and the lovely police office who helped said 1000 of people are actually getting these calls and some are paying! Next time will be as smart as you above!

Do the same thing to US residents.  They tend to pick on women, single mothers  the elderly and members of the immigrant community.  Ignore and block the calls.

I got a call message today that he is Mike from CRA, says something urgent and I need to call back. Suspicious.

Picked up part of message from an East Indian sounding dude and erased after only hearing him say he was from CRA and it was an extremely important call! I have heard of the scam and if it was the  real CRA they would send me a letter from their Head Office in Winnipeg.
People be aware - Please! Let's stop these scammers and their dishonesty!

I got call twice.in a row on Jull.30.and 31. The 2nd time I decided to check out and call back the # 613-366-3900. The sucker answer the phone and with heavy Pakistani accent started asking question. I fired back that this is a scam and I'm calling Police immediately. Soon he heard word 'Police" he abruptly hung up on me. Thanks to your posts and  sharing info i wasn't upset this time .

These cockroaches should be exterminated.  Why do we in Canada tolerate this bullying of hardworking small company owners? Is there anything legally to be done to them??

Got the same call, and I have a recording of it on a .wav file, cause he left me a voicemail, and this automatically records everything.  Isn't there a department in the RCMP that I could send this to?  Maybe it would help build a case against this little #^%R*# !!!

Just came home form work and had a message on my phone.  Called back and was given a file number and the "officer's" badge number.  Funny thing is I am employed by the CRA and knew about this scam,  when I started asking questions about his office and department, he said I was lying and hung up the phone.

I also got a call today they left a message stating that they where CRA and there wss a issue with my file and that they where starting federal charges if i did nit call back. I called yhey answered i asked where yhey where located and he Saud he did not now so i told him that if thus was CRA that they would niw but he hung up on me.

Received a threatening messaged from a Jonathan Knight at this number saying that he was from CRA and there was a problem with my file and that if I didn't call back immediately he would lay federal charges against me. I didn't give out any information as I had heard about this scam already and they had the incorrect name for my number. After I wouldn't give out my name he hung up.
I called the RCMP but they weren't interested in taking down any information.

I just received the same call with the same message.  These idiots really p-me off.
