J'ai reçu un message menaçant d'un homme s'identifiant comme l'officier Bryan John. Je ne comprends pas bien l'anglais mais il me menaçait en lien à des taxes je crois. Il me demandait de le rappeler rapidement au 613-633-4060 et de faire affaire avec mon avocat....

Do NOT answer this number, do not engage in conversation. This loser claims to be from the CRA. The guy says his name is Bryan John from the CRA (LOL!!!). The voicemail said "the very second youreceive this message, retain an attorney and call me back. The issues is extremely time sensitive. don't try to disregard this message. if you don't return the call, and if i don't hear from you, the only thing i can do is wish you good luck as the issue unfolds it will be on you." He left his "direct number" 613-366-4060.

This number also threatened me and told me i would be arrested for fraud and spend 90days in jail.That federal officers would be at my door shortly.

Just got the same message. I called our local police department. The Constable told me that it's totally fraud. And gave she gave me the Anti Fraud number for the RCMP. 1-888-366-4060

This a scam they are at a call center looking for victims to scam. It scam been on the news use common sense nobody got letters And had to sign for them they try to call older people with call law suit report them. Post on Facebook also so others don't fall for the fake Middle East scam they are spoofing numbers

It is definitely a scam. Do not call back - they scare people who are old and afraid of officers
no authority ever calls without giving a detailed reason. This is an empty  threat - nothing will unfold and nobody wishes Good Luck at the end.
Ignore it.

Got a message on my machine saying that the message is for "You". My name is Officer Bryan John. when you recieve this call contact an attorney and call me back immediately. Otherwise it will be on you as this unfolds. The Canadian government needs to do something to stop these people

We called them and they said we have to provide $25000 and their officer will come to our door and get it otherwise we going to go to Gail . After that we called 911 and report that and they said don't answe them and if they knock the door don't open it.

Left a message on my machine today but did not say who he was or where is calling from. Told me to gay an attorney and not to disregard this call. Etc. Trying to sound very aggressive but I knew it was some sort of scammer.

I just received a very intimidating voice message from this number on my phone. The person claimed he is from Revenue Canada, his name is Bryan John or Jones, and asked to call him back, otherwise "good luck with what I will make you go through", as he said!!  I called Revenue Canada.  They told me that this a scam that must be totally ignored.

Got the same call today. Glad I found this forum by Googling the number!

I received the call too. Thanks everyone for taking the time to provide your comments, nice to know its not real. Looks like Bryan John is a busy guy.

Got the EXACT same pre-recorded message from this very same number just about 30 minutes ago.  A male trying (in vain) to sound aggressive and demanding that my legal representative call back "immediately" or else basically suffer as the situation unfolds.  I used to work for CRA; believe me, we don't sink down to those types of tactics.  General public would know it's a scam, but the elderly may not know any better and potentially fall victim to this kind of garbage.  I just filed a complaint with the antifraud division on the Government of Canada site at the suggestion of my local RCMP department.

claims to be officer Ryan Jones from Revenue Canada.  Leaves a threatening message about want to hear from my attorney.
