Fraudulent calls continue

On Monday, November 30, 2015 Police have already received five complaints of an aggressive woman calling and threatening people. She stated that she works for Revenue Canada. She will even leave a recorded message on answering machines. The two numbers being used are 613-366-5130 and 613- 800-0984. Woodstock Police are reminding people to not return the calls and do not provide any personal information to these people.

613-366-5139- female caller with an accent leaving messages that your name and number are under investigation.  If you do not call back then  she will start legal proceedings.  I have received multiple messages in the past week and 1 hang up from this number.  All in the Woodstock area.

This caller is female and practically yells the message into the phone. She has a heavy accent and these calls are traced to the Kingston Ottawa area. She has called 3-4 times per day for the last week. I have called back the number that she says to contact to avoid legal proceedings but of course there was no answer. Suspecting fraud I found my way to this site. I can't tell you any more than that because I did not speak with her yet. Advice on another site is that if it were the CRA they would notify you by regular or registered mail. Plus they would have all of your info on file. My advice is to tell her that CRA would contact you in a different manner than what she is using and that she's a Fraud !!

Exactly the same messages have been left on my machine. 3X she has called me and left a message. I recently called her back and the line went dead on her end. Glad you all posted this so I can see that it is a scam.

My sister has apparently received the same call twice. Not only from this number also another. Just a reminder that most of these calls are computer recordings. They aren't human voices. Numbers happen to pick out by random. These phone numbers are also internet-based phone no (voip- voice over internet protocall) The number of 613-366-5130 is base out of a company called Fibernetics Corp. out of Ottawa Ont. Same type of messages left on my phone in Brampton. The message says that your name and number are under investigation and if I don't return the call back she will start legal proceedings. Is there a way we can block these callers?

same number in Brampton, once sometimes twice a day.why is there no one trying to stop this?

I have also received an aggressive call, demanding I get legal representation and that I should call a number back immediately. I was only able to write down the area code and a few numbers (never able to find a pen and paper when I need it...), but after reviewing everyone comments, I am thinking that it was 613-366-5130. The voice sounded male, recorded, with a heavy east-Indian accent. I do hope whoever is having "fun" harassing folks gets caught, shut done, and faces consequences for their bottomless stupidity.

I received a call today, I pay may bills but was disturbed getting a call from the federal government saying they have 3 issue to discuss regarding my taxes. As I returned the call I was received with an automatic hang up. The message was as harassing as all above have said. Get a life

today on Dec 11, 2015 I too received two calls on my answering machine from a lady indicating she was from CRA leaving the same number as above. So the are still at it. People beware.

We received a call from the same number this afternoon, and after hearing the voicemail, we called back. Naturally, there was no response, so we typed the number into google, and discover this is a prank call number which was popular in Woodstock, but they have now move to Brampton. If you are receiving these calls do not take them into consideration as they are fraud calls.

An aggressive woman called and threated me with 3 charges. She stated that she works for Revenue Canada Agency and if I don't call back she will press the charges against me. She left a recorded message on my answering machine. The number used is 613-366-5130. I called back but there was no response.

FYI, Received call on Friday Dec 11th CRA recording stating three files against me, if I don't act quickly and return call legal action will be taken, (613-366 -5130), at first when I called the number provided someone answered phone but did not identify who they were.  They call back again today and I called back the number and some guy answered when I asked what his name was he hesitated then I threaten I'd call police and he hung up.........I called Revenue Canada and RCMP and they have been notified and confirmed FRAUD.......Please spread this around to anyone you know especially the elderly which are targeted.......Revenue Canada will never call leaving a recording!!! DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION!!!

Recieved voice mail demanding that I call 613-366-5130 to avoid legal proceedings. The caller ID number is 281-034-0161. That number is somewhere in Washington State.
I have noticed that most of the previous postings are from Brampton.

Received 2 pre-recorded calls from 613-366-5130 on 12/11/2015 at 5:01pm and 11:10pm- stating that they were calling from CRA  and that I was under investigation and that I needed to call them back ASAP or they would commence legal action.  I tried calling when I received the first call and it rang 5 times and then the line disconnected- I tried calling-4 times on 11/14/2015 at 10:03am and again the line rang 5 times and disconnected.

Same number and left a message stating from CRA and wanting a call back or will start legal proceedings. Checked number online and found these posts. Thanks. Will ignore.

Same as all the other posts..
My guess its some type of identy theft they are trying to use, dont want to stereotype but these people with those accents cause more issues worldwide then any other group..
Just dont answer and ignore people Karma will come there way

Just got a similar call today, same threats. I'm in the Oakville area so it's spreading.  I thought it was a scam so first thing I did was to google the number and got all these reports.  Thanks everyone for getting the word out there about these scam artists. There are a lot of naive people who would call and give information. Thank goodness for the internet so we can check things out first.
