Received a call from this number a few minutes ago, it was an automated message for me regarding my significant and outstanding arrears with the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency).  The message advised that either myself or my lawyer should contact them back asap to avoid the debt being forwarded to a collection agency.  I called the number back, it just rings and rings.  I'm going to say it's a scam since I don't owe CRA anything.

I just received a call from this number saying I needed to get my lawyer to call them back about arrears with cra. I don't owe cra anything. What is this about?

I just received one today.  613.366.5344 this time. Second round of calls.  I did get calls from another number about three weeks ago and here we go again.  I just checked the old number used and it is now out of service.  Same as before, CRA threatening legal action if I did not call them back within 34 hours.  So I did call them back to have a bit of fun.  Lead them on, then sent them packing.  They said bad words to me - huh...LOL. I called back and back and back and now I cannot as I believe that they have blocked my number.

Oh well, I will have to wait for the next round of fraud calls!!!!

They are total scammers and don't be worried about them.

Was called today from this number with the same message as Mrs. C..

I have received same calls two days ago and then again a few minutes ago from "CRA" claiming their audit department has uncovered arrears on my account.  No concern as I have a professional tax accountant and my statements confirm nothing is owing. I did not pick up the first call from this number knowing it was likely this scam and a recorded message was left threatening legal action to take my house and car.  Today I answered and laughed at them.  They did not call back.  I dialled the number and instantly someone answered CRA. Too bad you will never get an immediate live answer at Canada Revenue Agency!! I told them they should be ashamed of themselves for intimidating and stealing from vulnerable citizens.  Again they did not call me back.

same message as the rest,saying I owe and they are leaning me.So in a panic I call the number and a east indian answers right away with a real thick accent .Goes on about if I have a lawyer and begins to try to bully me.The red flag goes up when he tells me his name is james brown at this point it was open season on him.I played along to the point I couldn't stop laughing.Called back three times finally they would just hang up lol

Yeah, those scam artists phoned here today, too. I don't answer any calls from a virtual phone number.
I guess those idiots haven't realized that the government doesn't work on Saturday!  =D

recieved a call from this idiot on a saturday claiming to be a CRA officer & he was issuing paper work to sieze my assets / bank account & threating to thow me in jail & fine me up to 95,000 dollars ... said I owed $2,985.
Idiot... No goverment worker I know works on Saturday... Idiot !
