i got a call from this # claiming to be police and said they might arrest me

Hi! I got the same phone call from the same number. Some officer Brad Walter (not sure about last name) representing Canada Revenue Agency. Sounds like scam to me.

it is a scam!!!

I got call from this number saying I have evaded tax and to pay $ 2182. I said I will pay from my bank to CRA  using CRA MyAccount. He said to write a cheque. Some Indian guy  with a fake Canadian accent calling himself Erika .............. He gave me employee number and a badge number. Do CRA employees have badge numbers too ? oops so sophisticated sammers.

Phoned me today, some Brad guy lol. Automated voice from a 1-800 number... wow what a scam.

I received a phone message that my mom erased accidentally.  Wish I would have been home to pick up.  There's a YouTube guy: ownage pranks, that really gives these scammers a good heckling over the phone.  Shame on these scumbags for doing this. Shame.

Got a call from 613-366-6839 this morning with recorded voice saying he's officer of Canada Revenue Agency and need to return his call immediately.

Think this is scam and feel very annoying.  People would quite easy fall into his trick because he sounded serious.

I also just received a recorded message from Brad Larson claiming he is an officer and if I do not call him back, a lawyer will contact me.  What a scumbag. I know this is a scam so please anyone reading these messages be smart and don't get caught in his game and certainly do not send money any time someone calls you. Record the number and call the police.

I just got a call from this number and they left a message which was so garbled at the beginning that I couldn't understand it but the last part got my attention...said an arrest warrant was being issued in my name if I didn't call back immediately.  So, I called back and when I inquired as to what it was all about they said they are Canada Revenue Agency  and I have an outstanding balance with them due to a reassessment of my income taxes for the years 2011 to 2016 and that I had made numerous and expensive mistakes on my returns.  I asked why I was never advised that a reassessment was being conducted and how could there be so many mistakes when my taxes are just basic returns and all of a sudden I have a dial tone on my end.  Had me scared for a minute...obviously a scam...and yes, the guy has a definite Indian or Pakistani accent.
