3 calls a day.  supposedly it's the Conservative PArty of Canada's fundraising line (I'm assuming everyone here is either a member or donor to the party as am I and others who get telespammed from that number).  I'm starting to raise hell with them because I can't take it anymore.

I just got a call from 613-667-9649 too.  It rang quite a few times.

After reading this web page I decided to give them a call. Obviously they are "there" since I just got a call from them.  But, of course, no one was there.  The answering machine said "This is the general information line.  There is no one to take your message... At the tone..."

I'm quite sure that the call was from a tracker company to find out when you are home.  

The calls from 613-667-9649 are NOT from anyone related to the Conservative Party.  If they are mentioning the "conservative party" in their outgoing message, then it is to make them look bad.

Got this call tonight. They ASKED ME FOR A $200 DONATION. The guy sounded like a stoned surfer. He had no clue. He did ask if I was a Conservative Party member, which I am. It sounds to me like someone got a hold of the list of party members. I am going to call the real Conservative Party, the police and local media.

My home receives these calls at least 3 times a day. Remember, I said, "At least......!"  This has been going on for over 3 weeks. My message to 1-613-667-9649, "Give it up, already!"

I have instructed all the members of my family to read the caller ID and if it is 1-613-667-9649, not to answer the phone.

Can you believe it, folks? My phone just rang off the wall again and guess who it is? Yep, 1-613-667-9649!

We get 6136679649 up to 5 times a day with nobody at the other end.

I've also been receiving a lot of hangup calls from this number.  It's my cell #, so it's doubly annoying.  On two occasions, I actually got to speak to a real person. The first time, they identified themselves as being from the fund-raising arm of the PC Party of Canada. They were looking for a diff person.  The second time, they were looking for a diff name than the first time, but still not me.  So I told the caller what's been going on, that a lot of ppl are incensed by all the hangup calls, and the sheer volume.  She got antagonistic, trying to tell me that the line is used by all kinds of different organizations.  I firmly but politely told her that the only other time I've been able to talk to a real person, they were also from the PC Party.  So she gave me a phone number to call to have my number removed from their database.  If your experience is like mine, if you call 1-866-808-8407 and ask for the fund-raising dept., a real and helpful person will look up your phone number as you sit on the phone with them, and look up your number in their database and explain what the problem is. While I spoke to this person, they removed my number from their database.  Very helpful, prompt and the issue is dealt with. I hope it works for you too!

I called the 1-866-808-8407 number and they were very helpful.  My number was removed right away by a kind lady on the phone and I haven't gotten another call since!

I suggest you give it a try.

I get alot of calls from this number. Sometimes several times a day. Even when I answer there is no one there. When I call the number back it goes to an answering machine, were I leave my number to be removed from the list, but they keep calling. Today I actually talked to someone when they called and they asked for someone who has never lived here and then won't give me any more info, just hung up. Very Annoying!!!

No one on the other end

This # calls all the time.  I let my fax answer this one.  But I guess the blast in the ear isn't enough to stop them.

I get a call from this number twice a day but usually don't answer.  I just rang again now and I answered to find nobody on the line.  I think it is the Conservative party canvasing for donations because I've answered their calls in the past and am pretty sure it was that number.  I'm calling 1-866-808-8407 tonight to ask them to stop calling me.
