I got a voice message on my home phone from 1-800-267-6999. The guy told me that he is calling from the Criminal investigation division of Canada Revenue and that there is a warrant on my name and I have to contact an officer called Jim Arther asap and gave me another phone number to call which is 613-704-1303
When I called this number he told me that there is a due amount that I have to pay: $2,700!
Don't fall on it! DON'T give ANY info about yourself!

Just happened my wife,...she was freaked out...once I started asking questions bout his CRA id number and asked if he was bilingual he started swearing at me...THIS IS ISIS...be carefull or some kind or terror run organization

wufe got the same thing and she freaked out...once I got in and called them back they realized I wasn't [***] around and the guy got really hostile and started swearing at me....ive left a compliant at CRA anti fraud dept

I received the the same call on the 28th April 2015, Jim Arthur wanted me to pay $1739 as I had made mistakes on my income tax refund. He wanted me to have my drivers licence. SIN card and a government certified payment voucher that I was supposed to purchase from an Esso Station. It is a prank!!!!!! Do not fall for it or waste time!The number to call was 613 704 1303.

Got a call today also.They said that the CRA will come and arrest me if I don't pay.They said it was a tax fraud and invasion for 2008 and 2010.Name of the guy is Jim Arthur.Don't fall for it.It's a scam..Very scary.Revenur Canada will be aware.

My father got a message from supposedly "The Criminal Investigation Unit" of Revenue Canada. The number that appeared on the caller ID was 1 800 267-6999 but the message said to call officer "Jim Arther" at 1 613 704-1303. My father was very upset when he told me about this incident. I called my local police who told me that they are aware of this scam and that the callers/scammers can make their telephone numbers appear as legitimate numbers in Canada but they could be operating from anywhere in the world. In addition the police said not to give any personal information nor money to these scammers and to report this kind of incident to the Canada anti-fraud centre and if the scammers call again to just hung up and not talk to them.

I received a message from "Criminal Investigation Unit" on May 5, 2015 . The number that appeared on the caller ID was 1 800 -267-6999 but the message said to call officer "Jim Arthur" at 1 613 -704-1303. This officer said that he has a warrant against me and he wants to talk to me before release the warrant to local police officers.

I just called and gave Jim a piece of my mind , I told him to get a job you piece of SH*& !!!!!!!!!!  :)

Today I had a message on my answering machine from "Jones Smith" - from what sounded like a call centre far away.
He left a message about an "arrest warrant" from Criminal Investigation Division, and that he wanted to help me.  Left the phone number 613-704-1303, which I presume is a spoof number.  Am not calling back - obviously a scam.  Getting fed up with so many scam phone calls.  I think our telco providers (Rogers and Bell) should be doing more to stamp out these calls.  After all - they are the phone service providers!

All i could understand was warrant, arrest and criminal and his phone nr.
Also i understood if not called back  to resolve matter the local police will be called for my warrant!!

We got the same call just like everyone else on this site just a while ago and the caller, a certain  Jim Arthur was saying my husband has an arrest warrant for not filing the correct income tax between 2006-2014. Hello???? We just arrived here in mid 2012! We need to pay the amount of $694.00 by buying a voucher at Canadian Tire and reload it with two $350.00. We knew at once that this is a scam! Hey, scammers try to work hard for your money and not rely on other people's blood and sweat!!!

Got a message from a supposed "Jim Arthur of the Criminal Investigation Department of Revenue Canada".  Said he had an arrest warrant for me at my address and wanted me to call him back at (613) 704-1303 and talk to him before he forwarded the warrant to the RCMP for my arrest.  Wooowwww :-)
Could not make out if he had an accent or a speech impediment.  Used the wrong first name that Revenue Canada would know me as and totally messed up my last name.
For a con artist, he is really crappy.

Problem is, some people may actually fall for that jerk!  Imagine, taking advantage of disadvantaged people.  THAT IS something he'll have to answer to in the afterlife unless his mind is very sick.

I phoned police and they said I should block call
which I have done , but they keep using new numbers .

I answered a call from "Toll Free Service"  800-267-6999 from a "John Smith" (with a very thick east Indian accent) saying he was from the Criminal Investigation Department of Revenue Canada and wanted to speak to my husband (he stated my husband's first and last name and our address).  He gave me a number to have him call which was 613-704-1303.  He could not answer my questions about why he was contacting us, and if he had the right person, he would just keep repeating that he was from the Criminal Investigation Department of Revenue Canada.  When I asked why we had not been sent anything in the mail he responded with "I am sorry, I cannot hear you".  It just seemed very suspicious....and it is.

They fake a legitimate CRA caller ID for CRA (8002676999) but the voicemail says to call this scam number. Do not fall for it! I started questioning them about things they should know about my taxes and got no answers then hung up upon.

Do not fall for this  it is a SCAM.   Do not give any information.

I also got a message  from David Jackson criminal investigation services and said there was a warrant out for my arrest and to return the call to resolve the issue 613-704-1303. When I returned the call and spoke to this David Jackson, he said there were no records on file, I asked him where he got the information from ( my name and #) then hung up the phone. I reported the event to the local RCMP. I also got another call 6 days later form the same guy, to call 613-510-1261.
