It's a recording stating that it's a call from Canada Revenue Services and that there will be legal action taken if we don't return the call.

my mother got this call and said they are from CRA saying that legal action will be taken for owing the government money $500,000 and that she can pay them early for a discount for $100,000 before she gets arrested today and the wont come after that. this exactly why we cant trust people or have nice things luckily i was home to calm her down and tell her what to do. dont give them information or do anything they say just hang up and report the number

They called stating they are CRA. They are not.

I've had that call two mornings in a row....very early!

Recorded message telling us that it was from CRA and that it was imperative that we return a call to this number immediately regarding a pressing issue before legal action was taken.  We hung up.

Sensitive information involving RCMP. I was told I would be arrested and detained "or there is another option". Money transfer.....  A very scary scam.

Really sick of these scams ! The government and the cops say there is nothing they can do,so we just have to suck it up and live with it. Why is it that we NEVER hear of Stephen Harper or the rest of his CONservative posse ever getting these calls? You know if they were,something would get done immediately.

I got an automated message saying it was CRA, and it was very important I call them back. When I called, they said it was regarding a criminal case against me and legal action was going to be taken. When I questioned it, he hung up.

This number called and left a message stating there would be legal action taken and that it was CRA. The call was for my boyfriend so he called them and they told him he committed fraud and that they would be arresting him, when he questioned it they hung up on him.

Automated phone message saying CRA would take (unspecified) action if I did not call back immediately.  I am ignoring it.

My wife has been trying to get CRA to credit her account with several quarterly payments she made some time ago, so when someone claiming to be from CRA left a message last week threatening legal action unless she called them back right away she thought it was connected to that. She spoke to them once last week and can't remember for sure but thinks she gave them her SIN. Yesterday and today she got two more voice messages threatening legal action for outstanding tax debts unless she contacted them.

When she called the number (613-704-1475) this time and they picked up she started by angrily telling them she had already spoken to them three times about this (what she thought the call was about)... click!

Must have been accidentally disconnected, call them again... click!

One more try... click!

A little Googling of the phone number she was told to call led me here. My wife is self-employed and ALWAYS on top of her taxes... should have been the first clue.

Called, left a portion of a message on my machine saying words there abouts
" Call CRA to clear the issue".
As if!!!  Call blocked now.  So bogus!

I just had the exact same voicemail today.

Only the end of the message have been recorded and it was poor quality left in english.
