I had the same message around the same time.

The concern is that two months ago I had a similar CRA issue with a live person.  I spent 1.5 hours on a call with someone with an indian accent claiming I was in arrears with CRA and who was pushing me to give money to the CRA.  They wanted me to go to a bank and they would tell me the account to deposit to there.  I was able to clarify with the CRA there was no case open on a second line, but had raised the hairs on the back of my neck.

The question is... what is the CRA doing about these issues as this is serious crime.

I also received the same voicemail with the CRA message- the voice was automated voice to text.  It was intimidating but obviously a scam, and not from the CRA. Definitely a criminal enterprise of some sort.

Exact message as first post.  My calls from 1-613-704-2176 were @11:19am, @12:40pm & @3:01pm on October 28.  The second call was an attempt at a "live" conversation using the auto voice.

I just had the same message, obviously a pre recorded message..the voice was creepy.  613-704-2176.

I had the same message.  There were 3 calls...one per hour......

Exact same message left on my phone 3 times.  Intimidating.

My mother in law in Toronto got the call and when she picked it up there was a recording saying the same things as above. She called me (I live near Ottawa) and I called the number and a person answered. He said " Good morning, Canada Revenue Agency". I asked, can I have your agent ID number please?. He said "31129" then I said, what region are you in, usually Agent ID numbers have two letters at the end to note the region? He said, what is this about? What do you want? I just said, I want to ask you to stop calling my mother in law because obviously you are not from CRA. He said, well ok, bye.
I called my mother in law back and told her to call the Toronto Police in the Fraud Agains Senior Deparment to report the number. I really wish the police would track where the calls are being made from and bust them all. It gets me mad just thinking about them upsetting seniors!!

Claim to be CRA, these are criminals, unfortunately, people did send money to them, that's why they keep practicing this, what we can do is to let as many as of our friends and families know about these calls, and warn as many people as possible not to send any money, not to even listen to the call, just hang up, we have no time to entertain bad people, may these people be caught soon and be punished.

I got two calls like this this morning.

Received a call exactly as described above. I hung up before the "robocaller" finished their outgoing message. What a nuisance!
