got dead air and hung up

who is this pest who can't talk when you answer the phone?

Called but left no message.

Just keep calling and hanging up after 2 rings. Call back and it says "You have reached the campaign voicemail" and gives you an option to be added to the do not call list.

Called 4 times in succession today. Has called numerous times before

Called twice in a row ... no message ... no-one there.  Don't answer numbers I don't know

Campaign troll calls. They called 2x in a row. First dead air.

This caller purported to be from a non-profit (sure) independent polling company called "Indy polling" or something similar.  I asked twice.  The caller had a southern twang (U.S.), and asked whether I was voting in the upcoming federal election. Then she asked which party I would be voting for, and whether I was firm in my intention. She mispronounced names of Mulcair and Trudeau, as well as of NDP. They she framed a lengthy question, biased as all get out and not a question but propaganda, that suggested that she was calling on behalf of, it seemed likely to me, the Conservative party. The final question, when I hung up after telling her she was not a pollster and not likely a non-profit, was whether I was prepared to compromise progress by not voting Conservative.
