Says they are from cra, and if I dont call back i will be contacted by a lawyer and wish me good luck! Voice is computer garbled claims to be alex foster

My sister got the same call today, with the same type of voice. Saying that it was Officer Gary Foster. With the same message wishing her luck and get a lawyer.

Yup - same here - Office Foster - better call back right away or I will be in big trouble and will need an attorney!

Just received the same call as everybody else except he is Alex Foster this time. The scam is he will tell you that you owe money and you need to go to a grocery store and buy a pre paid visa card and then call him back and give him the numbers and they can access the money

My mom received a threatening phone call from this number this morning. The guy said, in a strong accent, that he was with CRA and that she had not reported income and she owed $4,138 in taxes, immediately, or the police would be at her home in 45 minutes. Fortunately, she called me and I explained to her that this is a scam according to Revenue Canada and the police.

Someone (Alex Foster?) called from 613-704-2975. The person had a very bad accent and duckish distorted voice asking for a callback. Then he mentioned a lawyer and wished me good luck!
It is obviously a scam! Thanks for the previous comments, you are bringing awareness.

Yup - same call from Officer Foster.  Three times in a row.  Threats are implied and told to get a lawyer.

I am happy to inform you all. Hopefully there has been  resolution to this matter. I have sent an email to the company that holds this number and they have taken their first step to correcting this. The person running this number has been warned or they will loose their service. Keep posting if there are more occasions. I believe the company are also following this thread.

Well, they have done nothing about it because I got that same call less than 2 hours ago.

I just got a call from the same number ( officer Eric foster 613-704-2975 revenue Canada ) nothing has been done about it

I think it will take more than on email to actually make an action happen. Maybe just a few. Please help to stop this person from doing it further. Even elderly people are getting the same calls. As if they need it. Please email security@iristel.ca to do so. Thanks. Let's stop this person.
