Got a call approx. noon today the 8th of June, Seemed like a recording and talked about taxes and if you didn't pay to would go to Jail. Just hung up.

I received a call at 2:16pm AST from 613-704-4494 advising that immediate legal action would be taken if I did not call the number back immediately.  I thought it was strange that I would have to hang up and call back instead of someone coming live on the phone...plus there are 4 of us that live here and no one was identified by name.  I tried to call the number back and got a 'fast busy' tone.  So happy to have found this forum to confirm this was a scam.

Just got a call from 613-704-4494 - Threatened to put me in jail and have an arrest warrant issued immediately if they did not hear back from me. I did not answer as I had previously looked up the # online and found out it was a scam. I worry about those people who think this is real. Something should be done.

Got the same call from a machine claiming I owed taxes and that I would be arrested if I didn't  call them back. Scam

I received a similar threatening call and when I said I  would call CRA the caller hung up.  I knew the call was a scam because CRA always identify themselves and always provide there Agent number.

This caller would give the dept name only (Investigation).  I did report the phone number to Revenue Canada.

I received 2 messages saying we did tax fraud and would get arrested if we didn't return the message. One was from 613-704-4499 which was a recorded message. The other was from 855-499-2267, very obvious a person of Indian background claiming his name to be Ryan Smith. I am quite sure it is a scam and refuse to call them back.
