This numer called twice, no message

Accent of man very thick said his name was Patrick Cooper from Canada Revenue Agency saying you have a serious lawsuit against you  and need to call as soon as possible. I was out so this message was on my phone. He said if I didn't call back that my social insurance number would be red flagged.

EXACTLY the same message - and how to stop bugging them???

I got the calls so far 5 time. The first 2 times he said he was calling from Citizenship and immigration Canada. twice he said he is calling from Revenue Canada etc once didn't leave a message. scam

This number calls leaving messages with messages saying he is an officer from revenue Canada. They say lawsuit filed against me etc. they also say they are sorry for what will unfold for me.

My mother in law just received the same voice mail message.  He clearly didn't sound like a "Patrick Cooper".   There's no answer when you call the number back.

Same message here--heavily accented Indian male saying a lawsuit had been filed and my SIN was red-flagged permanently.  Got an idiot kid when I called the number back.  Told him what he could do and how he could do it.

Got a caller from a heavy accented Indian man identified get as 'Patrick Cooper' saying I have a serious lawsuit against me and my SIN was red flagged immediately.. Checked this site and everyone Got the same thing - it's a scam. Don't worry guys this is nothing to worry about. I just called revenue Canada and they said it's fraud 100% because Revenue Canada doesn't talk like that they send letters first etc.. Anyways, don't be scared have a nice day.

I received what sounded like an automated message from a man with Indian accented, reading slowly saying I’m under investigation by Canada Revenue, I’m under investigation and might face serious consequences including revoking my SIN if not responding immediately. The person asked me to call back phone number +1 613-777-1390 and ask for inspector Patrick Cooper. I consulted with my accountant and checked the web. The accountant told me that Canada Revenue will never act this way, if there is an issues, CRA will not make any threats over the phone and usually will send me a letter. He also mentioned he had a similar incident with another client. Considering this and the information on this site, this is clearly a hoax and I will not to respond.

Got a call from this accented Indian s....;  He tells me not  addresing my name, that I have a serious lawsuit filed against me. If I dont reply I will face heavy legal consequences.My son tells me its a scam and he is going to deal with it. Interpol and everything. So, scambug, look over your shoulder. As I say, you are a piece of sh.......... oops.

My mother received a phone call from these people two days ago and it was unbelievable the extent to which they used their threat and intimidation tactics to try and scare my mother. They have thick Indian accents and say "your call is being recorded." My mother put me on the phone with them because she gets easily frightened and they used tax jargon and cited all these Tax Acts to say that my mother was in violation of them. When I asked them why we never received any letters about this before, they said, "You're lucky you're just getting a phone call about this, otherwise we normally send the RCMP." Anytime I tried to question them about how I could verify the legitimacy of their call or make sure that they were calling from the CRA, the man would say, "OK, if you don't want to work to resolve this issue outside the court, we can send the RCMP over with an arrest warrant." This guy also gave a so-called batch number to make it seem like he was with the CRA. I finally hung up on them and they called back two minutes later saying, "We are sending the RCMP over with two female police officers to arrest your mom." I then called the local police division who confirmed what I thought that these people were scammers. These people are dangerous! They mess with your mind and actually make you begin to wonder if you are in fact in violation of any tax fraud and use scare tactics to try and get you to wire transfer them money. The CRA WOULD NEVER make a phone call like this. If you are in fact, in violation of any Tax Acts, the CRA will first attempt to send you registered mail to give you a chance to respond. They would never resort to scare tactics like this! They will normally target senior citizens of South Asian descent especially because they know how vulnerable they can be. Please spread this message to put an end to this scam!

i got the same message on friday. Dont reply him. This is all scam .
