Texted and wanted to know if the phone belonged to <insert name here> - I responded, Who is this? - No reply. Will spam them to see if I can get a response or at least blocked.

I've had two texts from this number as well. First was "Just wanted to know if you got my last text." and then 24 hours later "Dont mean to be a bother, I wanted to see if there is a better time I could check back with you". I ignored both.

I received a text from this number saying “Dont mean to be a bother, I wanted to see if there is a better time I could check back with you?”

For the same scripted text. Claims she’s a realtor named Susan. Would well be willing to sell our house for the right price

Forward unwanted spam/scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and let your phone service provider deal with them.
That number was set up by the phone companies to combat spam texts and they can shutdown offending phone numbers.
Never reply with "STOP", scammers will not honor the request (they have no honor to begin with) and it only verifies that they have texted to a valid number and a person who reads their texts.  It will not STOP the texts and may actually make them more frequent.
Never click on a link in such a text as it may cause malware to be inserted on your phone, and even if it does not, just as with replying "STOP" the scammers will know they reached a valid number.

I also received the same text.  Wonder why people do things like this.  Must have a lot of time on their hands.

Received the same texts.  Twice.  I have now blocked the number.

Message was "Hey, is this Joshua?" I responded and never heard back. Based on other people getting a similar message from this number, I'd say it's a scam.

Received a text message asking “Hey, is this ppppppp?”  I responded but no answer.

Keep getting texts for someone named Sandra.  They want her to sell her house.  I think it's a real estate scam.

I have received 3 texts from this number, all the same or similar to what others are reporting.  Always start with "Hey Julie" or "Hi Julie."
