I get calls from telemarketer slime on my Verizon cell phone all the time. I never answer unless I recognize the number/area code and they usually don't leave any messages. I suspect that someone who was pissed at me put my number into telemarketer hell. Question is, how do I stop it short of changing my cell number?

We also got several calls from this number lately. Sometimes they call 3-4 times a day. I answered a couple of times but they just hung up. Caller ID says WFNNB. Does anybody knows what WFNNB stands for?

I too received calls  and did some research. It,s World Financial Network National Bank (what a mouthful).  They are the actual lending co for a lot of retailers that have their own cards.  I was most likely a collection call.

They are the credit issuing bank for Lane Bryant, Roaman's, all Redcat USA credit cards, Chadwicks, Brylane, Jessica London, etc.

They have 614-729-xxxx telephone numbers (xxxx for various extensions from their rather large call center).

They are ruthless - will call upwards of 18-20 times daily.  I got behind on my Lane Bryant credit card payments and they hounded me until I finally just paid off the account and closed it.  They told me that paying my credit card payment minimum balance of $35 a month was much more important than payment my mortgage. (insert loud laughing here).

If you have any of these credit cards or credit extended from WFNNB (World Financial Network National Bank - check the back of your credit card statement) - consider either never getting behind, never charging more than you can pay off in 30 days, or closing the account and not doing business with them.

I was a customer for more than 15 years with them - never paid my bill late one time throughout the entire history of credit with them.  We had a huge financial setback last year and I did miss two payments - they skyrocketed my rate to 27% and the inundation of calls started - they called my work (even after being asked not to), they called the house 10-15-20 times daily - never leaving a message though, just caller ID records to attest to this, they called my cell phone 10-15 times daily (using my incoming minutes).

I initially talked with them when they would call, but after their rude tactics, calling me a thief and a deadbeat for missing two payments, refusing to accept mailed payments - only wanting bank drafts and calling my refusal to give them my bank information a refusal to pay, and then demanding payment of the entire balance, I stopped talking to them.

I eventually paid my full balance off after our finances recovered and am very glad to be rid of them, BUT now fighting with them to report my balances as being paid in full on my credit report - they are still showing me as a bad debt 60+ days behind.  We are talking a year after this was paid.

Overall - bad and ruthless company and collection agency to deal with.  Steer clear!!!

I get calls from this number 614-729-6077 as many as 4 times a day! Now that I have read some of the respones here and know that it is a Lane Bryant Creditor that is doing it, I know what I have to do, pay off my $80 balance and close my account! This is rediculous! I am glad I searched this number on Google and found this website!

    To NM,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I amalso in the exact situation and want to remove the 60+ day derogatory from my Credit Report. I think that getting a "deletion letter" from them and then mailing it to the Credit raters would help, but I have no idea how to get a deletion letter. Can one do it personally or get a help from professional?

I would like to know if anybody has an idea. Thanks in advance!

WFNNB holds accounts for Vistoria's Secret, New York & Company, or Ann Taylor stores.  They call when you are delinquent on your payments and they will call 3-4 times a day or more from different numbers.

Not paying your bills and refusing to make any payment when asked means you *are* a deadbeat.  The reason doesn't matter.  When you promise to pay for something and then don't do so, it's reasonable for the person you promised - the credit card company - to charge you more.

I agree the terms in the card agreement should be enforced but surely you can do this without resorting to name-calling like "deadbeat?"

You have alot of nerve calling someone a deadbeat. I didnt make the economy what it is and alot of people are suffering more than a stupid credit card. You are on earth one time make sure you have what you need first and if you can your bill good great for you voice of reason some people cant right now and this is who will suffer credit card companies they shouldnt let you have such a high credit limit then! They are going to have to suffer just like the rest of us! You cant die or go to jail for not paying a credit card so do the best you can. As for you, count your blessings you have a stable income.or do u?

This is the 60th number used by Comenity Bank.  They have called 225 times since 3/28/19 and have never left a message.  Some of their numbers have complaints from 10 years ago and for different finance firms.  They issue private label credit cards for companies such as Victoria's Secret, Abercrombie, The Limited, et.al.  (a 3 page list was posted for 614-212-5291 by Tori on 6/4/2014).  We don't have any delinquent debts, have not received any collection letters, and have not been sued.  Other websites indicate this number is a robocaller.

That's what happens when you don't pay your bills.  If you really did not owe the money you would have taken the proper steps to stop the calls.  Instead you simply whine like a 2  year old about the calls which proves that you are a deadbeat.
