I looked  up this number that's been calling for over a year. It says it's a debt caller. I know it's not for me. I owe no debts. I got charter a year ago and calls have not stopped.ive reported to every one I know. And has blocked so many numbers. They never leave a message . Just call 7 days a week. All day long from 8am till midnight.  They only thing I haven't done is drop a prayer and sue them. Both is coming up. I'm  keeping logs of calls. And sending them to my service

All phone numbers are recycled.  No one gets rid of a number without a good reason since it a pain in the butt to notify everyone.  So now you know why the former owners got rid of that number.

This number has called about 15 times in past two days. No one is ever on the other line and no automated message plays either. Very frustrating!

Just received a call today, first it said it was not a sales call, that it was a business opportunity and asked if it was I who was answering the call, I refused to answer if it was my name and I asked who they were and what they wanted, the lady got PISSED and said she cannot discuss it if its not me who was answering the call, so I just said "Ok, have a good day" and hung up.

This caller is using a variety of numbers to call and contact my number. This is a new ph # and no one but my wife and I have it. So any incoming calls are not for me. Yet they persist. Stupid is as Stupid does I imagine.

I unfortunately was assigned a phone number 3 years ago. Two people Adam and Davinia, were obviously bill jumpers. I thought I had all their creditors have stopped, until lately. Now, it has started up again. I have zero debt and the number is on the Do Not Call registry. I am beyond annoyed at this point.

If you had read what was at the DNC you would know that it does not apply to debt collectors or creditors.  The reason for that is two fold.  First, they are not selling anything.  Those sales calls and only those sales calls are what the DNC was designed to prevent.  Now, third party debt collectors are covered under their own special law (FDCPA).  Creditors, which is what Comenity is are not, although they may be covered under state law if you happen to live in one of the 5 states that have that law.  You can however stop the calls, if you take the time to read and learn.  You start with a certified, return receipt "not me" letter to Comenity.  Then you file reports with the CFPB and your State Attorney General.  If all of that fails, you sue Comenity.

I answered since it called multiple times today. Nobody on the other end and after I said hello a second time, they hung up.
