he called me on saturday and said that his name was Jim Beatty and I was in a unique situation. He also said he was calling to help and that he would be in the office today and that he was here to help.

I got a call from this number today.  The man asked if I would pass along a message to my son.  He said his name was Jim Beattie (his spelling, which I noticed is different from the other poster) and that he was trying to help my son with REHAB!  He was "overly" nice and said "It isn't what you think it is".  I asked if it was drugs/alcohol and he said "No, but, I can't tell you what it IS about, just that it isn't that and I am trying to help him."

I have no idea what his game is, but would sure love to find out if anyone has anymore information!

I got the same phone call  - I didn't answer but got a voicemail from a Jim Beatty. He keft a message saying it is "extrememly important that I call him back and says he is in the office". He never left any kind of reason why. I got a second voicemail today saying "you better call me back" I have no idea who this is - what is this number?

This is a Student Loan Rehab business. If your student loans are in default they help you get them current.

Call from Jim Beatty, obviously a bill collector randomly calling to hunt down his collection except I have credit score over 800 and he did not do research (calling MI from CA) looking for someone 20 yrs younger.  Rude, hung up when question.  Filed report with National Do Not Call Registry against him, as well as going to report to local police station as harassing call.  Let him deal with calls for a bit.
