Got a call from this number 10/9/12. They just hang up.

I get this call today Sunday, nov 25 at 409 pm. When I pick up the phone the woman on the other end is talking to some one else "Girlfriend, I wanna tell ya," and then noticed  the call had been answered.  She asked for me by first name and mumbled her name and what sounded like "eyes with GMC Credi't" i told her I could barely understand or hear her and then she started talking so loud I still couldn't understand her as she repeated her name and said :fore I gets started i needs to verify your social security number."   I'm sorry if some one cannot speak clearly I am not going to waste my time speaking with them...especially on a Sunday afternoon and definitely NOT giving out / verifying or anything else that has to do with my social security number over the phone.  I hung up on her.  I did a tracking and found it was from my town, this concerns me.

Caller stated it was a collection company (GMC or something like that) that took over a debt from Bank of America.

I keep getting called from this number.  It no one

JUST BREATHS IN PHONE AND THEN HANGS UP!!!! CREEPY!

Hmmmmm........just called left no message

This number keeps calling for someone that does not live with us and they just don't take no for an answer that we don't know them!!!!  Please anyway to stop them from calling???

Call came in at 9:20pm, she identified herself as Central Research. I asked why she was calling a number that is registered do not call number, also why are they calling so late. She hung up.
