I got the same number with someone stating I need to make a past payment or I get law sued... I just told them don't call me again. Its scam dont fall for it!

They called me and asked me my name ask me my address which I never told them yes or no then they proceeded to give me the last 4 digits of my social security number and then I asked what company is this and who is it and then they said they can't disclose that because it's business personal matter so I just hung up on them.

Simple as this, Portfolio Recovery calling to collect a debt.  They're insanely harassing, no matter what your circumstances have been.

Portfolio, a Junk Debt Buyer. Their robo dialer calls tens of thousands of numbers every day. They have 15000+ nationwide numbers it calls from.

Portfolio Recovery.  Have told them a thousand times I am NOT who they are looking for as my number is a new cell number.  This has no effect.  They do not listen and just keep calling.  DO NOT ANSWER NUMBERS YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE.  And if the caller leaves no message, BLOCK THEM!

That often happens when you don't tell them the correct way.

Actually there is a class action law suit against them, sign up for it because you will frequent settlement payments from them...I have gotten 3 so far!

Portfolio again? Cool! Outstanding! Guess they did not learn after the first time I sued them and they cut me a check for several grand. I'll make sure to answer next time so I can sue them again.

Class Action? Waste of time. Takes years to settle and you get peanuts. I think the last one paid out something like 25 or 35 bucks. I sue them and get thousands in my pocket. Their last check to me paid for a really nice long cruise and I had a great time on their dollar.

How did you sue them? For violating debt collection laws?
I have done this before but it was from a different collector that I had a letter from them violating the debt collection laws. From Portfolio I only have a log of the calls they won't leave voicemail.
