Got a call today from some lady at this number saying she was hired by Vandelier Group LLC  about a payday loan.  If you look them up the courts shut them down last year:  http://consumerist.com/2014/09/17/court-shuts ... -didnt-ask-for/.  They are a total scam.

They also use # 716-625-9390.

These people are definitely scammers. Any group that's legit would send the mandatory debt collection verbage, and their name.  Dopes!

Never answer a call I don't know; these people continue to change their numbers ... it's what they do.  No one can do anything to stop them.  They are scammers, threaten legal action for people who don't know better so believe they owe someone money from a past debt and "hand" it over on the phone or say you've won something but "hey, just let me have your cc # to hold your reservation" ... don't fall for anything!!!  THEY ARE RELENTLESS!!

Same as other reports. Threatened legal action against someone I don't now. Blocked their number.

Getting calls from this company saying that I owe from a past pay day loan that I took care of over 2 years ago. I have documented proof that I paid this debt. The lady said that if I didn't either prove to her that I paid or pay the debt by noon the next day, she would send my information to the courts and have me arrested for Felony Fraud.
I faxed over my proof of payment and called her to inform her. Then I told her to not call me any more. She told me not to tell her what to do and then told me she will do what she needs to do.

The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government's allegations, which have not yet been proven.

On Sept 17, 2014, the Federal Trade Commission filed suit against Vandelier Group and several related companies. Charges filed allege the business violated the FTC Act, the Truth in Lending Act and the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. The lawsuit alleges that Vandelier Group and companies owned or operated by Timothy Coppinger and Ted Rowland III made unauthorized deposits into consumer bank accounts and then withdrew bi-weekly recurring finance charges of up to $90 without any of the payments going toward reducing the loan's principal.

The recording tells you that TODAY IS YOUR LAST DAY TO CONTACT THEM. They threaten with a county lawsuit. They never tell you who they are or in reference to what. If you owed anything they would give an individual more insight into the issue than just a plain out and out threat especially when you have received no prior calls nor correspondence making demands with a letterhead of a business and a collaborating telephone number to the one whose calling. It's a sham scam.

I got the same thing.  It was a message left on my cell phone saying this was my last day to provide my verbal statement.  Mind you, they did not identify themselves, did not reference any particular debt, or say my name in the call.

Same thing I got, Donna and Nicolle. Today is the last day to give a statement. Did not identify themselves or what it was about. Says to call back at that number.

I agree. I called back after hearing that recorded message when I answered their call. I knew it was a scam especially because of threats. Long story short I called back to laugh and say they are all over the web and I'll be reporting them too

Same thing here, unfortunately for them (and me, depending how you look at it) I know how legitimate debt collection works. If you're an instigator like I am, it's fun to call back the day after they say you're going to be served with papers and ask why you haven't been served. They get furious and start threatening to have your license suspended and have you arrested at your office.

My favorite was when I looked up their address on Google maps (3577 Chamblee Tucker Rd. Atlanta, GA 30341) and called them back and asked if they "shared an office with the UPS store, Fantastic Sams, China Star or the Chiropractic Office?"  She said, "We're none of those." I asked, "Okay, so where is your office?" She said, "Who is this?" I said, "Don't worry about who this is, worry about who you are." She says, "YOU NEED TO GET THE HELL OFF MY PHONE!" before slamming it down.

HAHAHAHA...

I received a call from the same number, I never answer calls from unknown long distance numbers so it went to VM. Message was as stated above "Today is your last chance......" I couldn't understand the lady's words so I wasn't sure what she said. I have since blocked that number. ;-)  Definitely a scam.

Bad thing is I work for the Government.  LOL!!  It was a recording... so don't know who called.

Got a call and message today from this number,, The message said they needed me to call the officer back for the investigation.. that was all... I dont have an investigation going!!

Gotta a call from this number that said I needed to call them back immediately and that if I "gave it to the county or one of" their investigators to disregard the message. What the heck is "it"?! They didn't leave their name or say my name or even say what it was in regards to. Not sure I'm gonna call them back tho after reading the comments. Especially since the number is same but the caller I'd says Barnes and Associates.

While shopping cell rang, didnt look at # at the time, was voice message telling me very important matter have to call back asap to resolve or would be turned over to ....(couldn't understand the rest). Returned called, African American woman answered. I asked what area code 615 is, she said oh thats an automated #, let her ck the system. Told me didnt see anything there abt a call to me, would call me back. Lol!! Still waiting. Scam, scan, scam!! Do not give them ANY information!!!!

Sounds like the voicemail robot started talking before your voicemail allowed it to start recording. The full message that I got is talking about it being the last day for a verbal statement... so the "it" in your message is talking about the verbal statement.

Threating me to call them... More than 5 times

Called my sister about something with fraud reguarding ME. Called off Google Voice so they wouldnt have my number. They looked up my information by my sisters number then put me on hold, when she got back on the phone I asked her why when I typed the number into google that I saw many comments about it being a scam and she hung up on me. Called back, asked her to repeat the name of the company, looked up and got Farmers Crop Insurance. She wanted to know my phone number and I told her I'm not giving my number to a scam artist and to [***] off.
