They call me sooo many times. I have called back and it just rings and rings. Then when someone answers they say RPM. Its a collection agency.

The receptionist who answered "RPM" would not tell me what this company does. He only said, "We are a financial institution," and then he got very hostile when I would not give him my phone number. What kind of business has employees who tell their potential customers, "That's confidential information. I am not comfortable telling you that information unless you give me your phone number."? My opinion is that this is some sort of scam operation. It's not a "financial institution" I would ever give my money to.

I started getting calls today, Don't call me anymore

I've received several calls on my cell phone, which I use for work. Similar story to everyone else who's posted on here!

I have impeccable credit and no debts to be collected and no desire to enter into any monetary agreement with low-lifes. They call and when I answer, it goes to an on-hold music status. We need to find the owner of this number and find out why they get their kicks doing this kind of crap.

This is terrible. they call 2 times a day and for what.

Any time they call you and if you gets to speak with reps, just tell them that they're fired. This has worked for me alot on several debt collectors. Don't get anymore call afterward. If they still call after being fired, simply tell them that you will report them for harrassment and be sued. That really makes them mad. I also tells them that I have their conversation recorded with inline ear bud recorder for cell phone which I do have one. you can buy them in most electronic stores like radio shack,wal-mart,etc. Good luck to all of readers here.

I have had 2 so far (I have had countess calls from these places for the person who owned my cell number before me)...this sucks! I love the suggestion to tell them they are fired...I will do that.

These people from number  616-613-2058  call me at least 3 times a day, never leave a message. I Call back no one answers.  Don't know who they are, and this has been going on for a couple of months.

After a series of calls from these idiots, I filed a complaint with the FTC for harassment. Like others have reported, this company, based in Washington state appears on caller ID with a Grand Rapids Michigan phone number. On a handful of the calls, I could hear someone laughing and/or coughing in the background before they hung up without saying anything. Other calls start with a recording saying, "Hello, we have a call for you. Please hold and a representative will be with you in a moment. Muzak kicks on. On a couple of occasions the call hung up automatically. On others, I hung up on them. Other times, the calls hung up almost immediately.

Multiple calls in a day -- some after hours -- are harassment. Since there is no "live" person at the other end, there is no way to know for whom they are looking.

Best advice: go to FTC.gov and file a complaint. The more people complain, the faster this cr*p can be stopped.

This and many more BS from places and people I don't know and I am getting so sick of this but nothing seems to stop them short of going to court!

Come on people.  You don't have to put up with this.  File a complaint with the FCC, Contact your State's Attorney General and file a complaint with them.  File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for the Lynnwood, WA area and another one with the Washington State Office of the Attorney General.  Washington State is where this company operates its head office with another location in Milwaukee, OR.   They are a bottom feeding collection agency trying to collect on out-of-statute debts and collection items that have been written off by the original creditor long ago.  Therefore they cannot sue to collect and instead resort to intimidation, abusive and harassing tactics to try to bamboozle people into paying just to make them go away.  They have no power over you, even if you are the legitimate debtor.  Stick it to them.

If they continue to harass you, find an attorney with experience in FDCPA and FCRA litigation.  Both Acts allow courts to award both damages and attorney fees if you win, so you may be able to find an attorney to take such cases on contingency.  

To find a competent and experienced FDCPA/FCRA attorney, you might try www.naca.net to find those who are members in your area.  Carefully following the advice and directions of such attorneys could result in RPM paying you a sizable chunk of money as reparations for the unjustified grief they have caused you and the laws that they have broken doing it.
