Robo call offering to lower my mortgage interest rates.  I hung up on them before I found out more information.  Caller ID showed "The Boston Grou"

They called at 8:40 PM on January 29th, 2013.  No was message left on my answering machine.  (All calls are screened at our residence.)  A web search displayed them as a Marketing Group.  I believe that means "Telemarketer."  In any event, their calls are not welcome at our home.  

Don't these people understand, "THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO BE COLD CALLED AND WILL NEVER AGREE TO BUY GOODS AND SERVICES FROM ANYONE DISTURBING THEIR PEACE!"

These idiots illegally called my DNC listed phone tonight at 1845 hrs with a glitchy, illegal pre-recorded message about getting my (nonexistent) mortgage lowered.  I didn't press anything.  The stupid message repeated itself three times before it disconnected.  No company was identified in the message - a clear violation of FCC requirements and a red flag.  You'd have to be an idiot to do business with a "business" that solicits with illegal cold-calls and doesn't even identify itself.

They called @ 7:10 pm, but at least let their ID be shown. I let the machine pick up, no msg. Picked up & immediately hung up b4 they did. I took the time to Google name, but there were several possibilities & no phone #'s to compare. I    think it might be insurance/retiremnt finances.

Called but went to voicemail. Hung up.

Got the call at 20:20 (8:20 pm), let it go to answering machine.  They/it didn't leave a message, but Caller ID showed "The Boston Grou" and the number as 617-226-3808.  Chalk up another avoided sales call.  From these other messages I'm very glad I didn't bother to pick up.

Thank you for posting! Reverse Look-Up only lead me to "for a fee" call research sites, so you helped me determine who had been calling (and leaving no message) on my cell phone. In it goes to my phone's "Reject Call" list. Very kind of you to share your findings!

I also have my phone listed on the DNC list and its been on that list for many years. The caller ID shows it as  617-226-3808 The Boston Grou. My machine picked up and they did not leave a message.
Unfortunately the online complaint form for these types of calls to the Attorney General requires an address of the business which is rather stupid. There should be a seperate form for action specific to telemarketers in violation of the DNC. I would argue that a large % of annoying calls go unreported due to the ineffective method of reporting said calls.

Make them stop!

As always, I let it go to voice mail (7:03PM).  Caller ID read, "The Boston Grou".  As typical, no voice message.  Thanks everyone for the heads-up.  I love these blogs.  It's a shame that regulators don't read them and cash in with heavy fines.

Got similar call promising lowered interest rate

Boston Grou just called my home at 5:45pm.  What a pain!  But then again, they've got to make a living too.

They are still calling and I'm on the DNC list.  Called my land line in MA.

Called my cell, [***].

Yep, "The Boston Grou" robo-called me saying "I'm now eligible for lowered interest rates" and that's when I hung up--before seeing what the "lower interest rates" are for; I assumed it was another "Heather from Account Services." Now I kind of wish I'd stayed on the line, because we don't have a mortgage and I could have had fun with that.

My Caller ID is blank for this number; however, when I called back to see who it was, I found out they have their own DNC list... just press 1 to engage.

'Course, there's no telling if they then sell your number off to someone else ;-)
