No idea how/why they chose my extension #.

i  opened the website of extended stay America because I was looking for a hotel in california then a  number appears on the screen 8005382583 so I called them and a man answered at me I asked for the hotel and he helped me to find one so I booked it and the hole fee was deducted from my credit bank .then after 5 hours I called again and asked to cancelled the hotel because I had a new itinerary .the man said no problem I will cancel it and he asked if I needed help for my new itinerary I said ok I want to go to las vegas so he booked for me the hotel and deducted the new fees from my credit at the same time of the conversation I was afraid because he said first that he will deduct the fees from the old reservation but he didn`t.and now I haven`t got any confirmation for my stay in las vegas neither the approval of the payment .
