Number has called 3 days in a row and is silent when I answered one day and other times no message; returned the call today and woman said they were a collections agency and asked me to verify my info; I refused to give info and hung up; blocking this number going forward

Called early this morning no one answer when I said hello phone started ringing a man came on wanting me to verify information I hung up and blocked them

The same thing just happend to me where I answer and it ringed like I called and then I hung up to.

They call, I answer and nobody answer me back, then I hang up.

Kept getting calls from this number. It would ring twice and they would hang up. I feel it's a scam anyway so I blocked it.

They called me this morning. I wouldn't confirm my name. All she said is that call was personal and she could only discuss with Pat. I said that I needed to know what the call was referencing and she hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam of some sort.

I’m so tired of these scammer that have taken money out my personal bank account, and business . They stolen my identity, equifax breach my information . They stated terrosim in my report , jail time and other false information. The three major credit bureau state they work with you but made my situation even worse. Took my money out every month. I reported to OIC, FTC, even attorney general and also made a complaint with CFPB , nothing . But, yet they can continue to disrupt my life line and credit and nothing done. Also, had police report . So, I’m going to vocalize this until I get my credit back and my money that was stolen . These thieves shouldn’t be allowed to keep doing this nonsense

Called 3 times in one day.  Answered first time and nobody said anything.  Didn't answer next 2 times and they keep calling every 2 hours.  Phone id says account services nothing else.

I got a call this morning, nobody responded when I answered but I could hear someone breathing into the microphone. Like they had me muted or something. I see people saying they're claiming to be from Allstate, I think I dodged a bullet since I do business with them.

It was an "abandoned call" and you most likely heard yourself breathing.

Picked up the phone because I was expecting a call from my doctor. Caller ID showed as “CCS OFFICES.” No reply on the other end of the line for about 10 seconds, then they hung up. Given that others here have said they claim to be a collection service for Allstate and I’ve been getting spam text messages about this, I’m betting it was the same scam.

That company collects for lots and lots of different companies and not simply only for that Insurance company.  We cannot determine if it is a scam until you actually talk to them to find out what they want.

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
