Automated system offering a "free cruise" for completing a survey. If it sounds to good to be true...

Called my cell phone. Did not leave message. Now blocked

Cell phone rang in work so I answered and a robot started talking so I hung up. annoying!

Did not recognize the number, so I did not answer.  I checked for a message, there was none

Called my cell phone. No message.

Take this survey...  Get a free cruise to the Bahamas!  AVOID

Got this call today on one of my pre-paid cells.  Luckily, I missed it.  Have docs in that area code so its always tempting to answer these calls.  Got a similar call on my landline - also TODAY - from a number almost identical - but not quite:  617-982-1202,  That one ALSO was  a "take a survey and automatically 'WIN' a 'FREE' cruise" CREDIT CARD PHISHING SCAM.  Must be someone bought a bank of 617-982-12xx phone lines to SCAM people with.

Just goes to show you that the PHONE COMPANIES are IN on this, MAKING $$ from this and SHOULD BE FINED ALSO.

I didn't recognize # and no message left.  FYI - (617) was first and only "area" code for all of MA.
Bet plenty of now available and looks legit.  Not.  Sorry - I don't need a 2 week cruise thru Wyoming!  TG

Thanks for posting this. I'm getting calls from random 617 area codes and this is one of them. Great point about the phone companies, one would think if one is buying a block of phone #s it would raise a red flag to the phone company(ies)

The man says that he is from some security then I hang up.
