Received a message today that the Security Alert system was ready to be shipped and that it was completely paid for including shipping.  It said that I was receiving it due to a friend or relative that had fallen in the past. It requested that I press 1 to schedule the shipping date.  Definitely a scam as they did not mention a company name or any ID other than the phone number captured by caller ID which showed Illinois Call.  I live in the northwest Chicago suburban area.

My mother got the same call that Al posted from this number.  Wanting her to press 1 to schedule delivery and that it was completely paid for. . . Also no company name. Believe it is a scam too.

We received a call about Security Alert which we never ordered.  It was to be shipped today at no cost to us.  We do not need such a device.
They negelected to tell us how much the service would cost to operate this device.
No contract was suggested.
They held out the "HOOK" that this was FREE.
It is one more company or at least one of its salespersons, trying to scam people and the government.
What can be done to them now before they seduce someone with the FREE hook?
