- "Daniel"East Indian-accent. Male. Calls twice a day looking for "Daniel". Have told him he is being recorded, have said not to call, have told him I do not know "Daniel", and this is a newly acquired number. Have reported their number. He keeps calling and saying the same thing. Each time he says he will not call again....oh, wait, then he calls again.
- Brittany CullinsHe is a scammer. He called me about thirty times saying I was going to be locked up for a loan I did not receive. He calls out some personal info to scare you into sending money but DO NOT fall for it. Call your credit agencies and place fraud alert on your account and your bank as well. I hope they eventually catch these Scum bags who try to manipulate people out of hard earned money.
- Charice Thomas| 1 replyI keep telling these people from India to STOP calling and harassing me!!!! This needs to end today
- Sandy SI keep getting calls thruout the day about my loan has been approved. I keep telling them that I never applied for any loan and to stop calling me and to put me on the DO NOT CALL listl. The caller then tells me that it will cost me $20.00 to not be called.
- JimduckMan from India, or some place like it, calls 5 to 10 times a day. Says he's with IRS and they have a lot of money for me. When I asked him how much, he kind of caught on that I was messing with him and hung up. Now he keeps on calling. Maybe it was the names I called him. Ya think??
- Felicia smithThis guy is calling me saying if I don't take this loan that it's a 450.00 cancelation fee!!! It's a scamm
- Alfalfa replies to Charice ThomasThis is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
- harrythehatI just now received a call from this number on 4/15/2014 @ 12:15pm. Not recognizing it, I, as in most cases, did not answer the call. That area code and "prefix" (619-630-1330) is synonymous with other calls I have received in the past that turned out to be nothing other than some degenerate "bill collector" or typical "foreign scammer"!
As a result, I immediately entered it on my "Blacklist" because there are numerous "number changes" these people incorporate in order to fool you into answering their call.
...................But what really confuses me is the fact that, for years, I have been hearing that this country is "running out" of numbers to disperse, because of the enormous increase in technology - from the early "pagers" that were, and still are, in existence, to the many other electronic devices that we use. These include "fax machines" etc. and the fact that nearly everyone, by the time they reach their teen years, feel it a "necessity" to own a "cell phone"! The use of these phones has, indeed,
changed from being a "luxury", where only those with the financial ability to own one to
our government "giving away" cell phones to those on welfare, or any other of the outlandish programs that are in existence to subsidize those they "feel" are less fortunate!
That being said, it WOULD seem that we will eventually "run out" of 10 digit numbers to assign to all of these different devices.
So until that occurs, we will just have to be diligent in assessing each caller we feel are imposing on our privacy. Good luck and "God Speed" to all! - johntina randy
