I received a call from this number and they did not leave a message. This is a robocaller and a scam. Never confirm or give your information.

said she was the government calling regards Medicare. I hung up. scam. Another scam where information comes from my mothers care givers. Probably ID theft.

Kinda funny that a Medicare scam call comes right after another call telling me I qualify for a free medical monitoring system. Suspect numbers originate from same place and are probably spoofed. Other number was 909-294-2010.

He called and asked if I received my new Medicare Card and that it will be reissued in a Plastic Card, but need to reconfigured my Information which he mostly know and I entertained him , but when he asked me for my Patient Number I refused too give it to him and he got kind of nasty / rude! I told him thank for calling but and I don’t like scammers 😂

This number called my Dad and asked him for his Medicare # and his Soc Security #.
What protection do I need to do for my Dad now

If you are his caretaker, take charge of his SS & Medicare card. I'm assuming you accompany him in most of his affairs & transactions.

Yes, but i am not there to monitor his phone calls when scammers call and ask him for medicare and SSN.....

Then get you will need to take other precautions.  Get a call blocker or call blocking phone, possibly one that has a whitelist that only allows known calls through and blocks everything else.  Have his calls forwarded to your phone so that you can handle his affairs.  Have him give you a power of attorney and handle his bank accounts, etc.  Lots of things you can do.  You might want to consult and attorney who specialized in elderly affairs to find out what you can and cannot do.

Called and left no message on answering machine.

A female with an accent, attended by the usual background noise of telemarketers/scam artists called to notify that she will be mailing my new Medicare card.  I had already received it.  She asked me questions requiring an affirmative answer, 'yes."  She then wanted to confirm my address -- which she had!  I didn't confirm it -- I simply said that if she had the address, why confirm it?  She then said that I have to go to my local Medicare office to pick up my card.  I hung up.

new year same as old -- called but no message  -- silence when pick up the line......

3 calls in the last 1 1/2 hours. Wanting to talk to "Mr Harold" ..didn't even try my last name. All were foreigners, asking about my "new Medicare card".  Said they were with Medicare. Since 619 area code is SanDiego, I didn't even give them the time of day. Finally, on the 3d call I told them to F*** off.

They called me 3 times yesterday, and once this morning, so far. (at 7:40 am, no less). I know from the area code that it comes from San Diego area.  I want to know their location. They won't be happy when I get there.
