Received a call tonight from this number and the caller stated he was from Windows and it was critical situation.  They were receiving warnings and error messages and problems with our computer and he was a Windows technician.  There were hackers from China, Uganda, and Nigeria in my computer.  I told him he was a scam artist and he said no he wasn't he was calling from Alabama.  The caller id said INET FIX TECHNO.  I said I knew he was lying and I had seen this on the news.  He said there was all kinds of things on the news and I couldn't know this was a scam.  I told him not to call my number again.  This area code is actually in KS and there are many reports of this caller id name and scams happening.  DO NOT ALLOW these people to have any kind of access to your computer it is very dangerous.  He was asking my mother for money up front as well and they can do all kinds of damage.

I'm getting this scam about one or two times a month now. My dumb [***] fell for it the first time as they hit me with a blue screen telling me not to do anything to the computer and call Intell support right away. The number was listed on the blue screen. they charged $200.00 then came back and said they had to find the hacker or hackers, another $200.00. I had already known that I had hackers in my system and was getting rid of them with my software ant their support staff I can't believe that I let myself fall for this one!! I'm good at this stuff and computers overall. So pissed at myself, won't happen again and I will now report them all!!

they are calling me and saying they are from tech support, and that something is wrong with my computer, and it need to be fixed, and this could be corrected for  a charge of $299.00, wanted all kind of personal info, bank acct. credit card acct. you name it

this number has called twice. First time had Facebook issue that was fixed. Second time called wanted to know if issue fixed. It was. Asked  them not to call again. Think it is a scam!

when i get these calls,  i always say "I do not have a windows PC, I use Linux" this seems to confuse them.  "How could I possibly have a windows blue screen on a linux PC?" .
