Texted me asking for my wife. When I asked who it was there was no response

Received text message asking if this was my husband.

Received text messages asking about who I am and what I do.

Received a text message asking who I am

Received text asking for my wife.

received text asking if it was me?  when replied.....who is asking, got no reply.

Message was simply "Hey, is this.... ? "  when I responded Who is this? no response from number.

Text Message asking for spouse, replied who is this and No. No response

Texted me and asked if the phone was my wives by name

Text message was hey is this ***. Didn't respond back & going to try to block number after seeing these other messages.

Two texts - "Hey is this *****?" and "Hi *** just wanted to know if you got my last text?"
Blockign number

Text saying Hey...is this?  A few days later a text asking if I got the previous text.

Like others, I received a text asking for me by my first name.  I asked who was asking and no response

1st text-Asked me if I was my husband, 2nd text asked me if I received the first text, 3rd text asked if there was a better time to check with me

Got a text: Hey is this…? Blocked number after reading this!

Got a text: Hey is this…?   Definitely fishing after reading all previous comments.   Best thing to do is not to answer at all.

Hey, is this Joe?    Didn't answer.  It just tells them that the phone number is active

What possible useful reason would they need to know that the phone number is active?  Wouldn't they already know that when the phone rang?  Seems to me that they would?  Wouldn't they already know that when a text goes through?  Yep, that would tip them off.  But since they don't need to know that a phone number is active then that would simply be useless information to them.

Number called looking after answer they didn’t speak for the first 15sec asked for me by nickname then hung up
