Not a call but a charge from this number for 9.85 that I never authorized.  Check your accounts if possible.  The phone number was attached to the transaction, I called and their was an automatic message saying to leave a message or email MCA Templates. I also was charged by Libra USA 1-866-298-7560.  I have no clue who these companies are or how they got my info.

I received a charge from this site as well.  10.65 to be exact.  I ordered off a little website and we (the bank and myself) think they hacked into the payment service for the website.  The site is hosted by freemerchant.com with an authorize.net payment program.  Keep an eye on your accounts!!!!  I also was charged 10.65 from a sensate technology (805-275-2235) based in CA.  same thing here.....

I was charged 10.65 from a MCA Templates that I didn't authorize.  Phone number attached was 623-444-2173 as well.

I just noticed this charge for 10.65 from MCA Templates that I did not authorize on a mastercard that I have not used for months.  The phone number shows up as the 623-444-2172 as well.

I also received a fraudulent charge on January 1, 2008 of $11.85 from MCA Templates listing the number 623-444-2173.  I canceled my credit card, and disputed the charge with my account.  

I also e-mailed the Arizona Attorney General's Office to see if they would pursue an investigation of ID Theft/Fraud.  I have not gotten any response yet, but I will reply to this board if I do.

It's doubtful they will do anything unless more people come forward.  Please contact the Arizona Attorney General's Office if you have also been victimized.

I got a resonse from the Arizona AG's office.  They said they have had a number of complaints similar to this one.  They suggested I do 2 things:

1)  fill out an online form with the FTC, which can be found here:

and

2)  Fill out the complaint form with the Arizona AG's office to get the information into the system, which can be found here:

BTW< If you fill out the forms requested above you must include all of you vital info, ss, dob, etc. Who is brave enough to do that? Not me.

Scott is right that the forms ask you for sensitive information, but even if you don't want to provide such sensitive info, I would still urge you to fill out the forms to the extent you can.

Although it is annoying to fill out these forms, establishing complaint records is necessary if we want anything to happen at all.  

Even if the FTC/Arizona AG fails to catch anyone this time, the records will remain such that if and when these guys are caught, the supporting information will be there for authorities to establish evidence and dig up investigatory leads.

It is a little creepy asking for sensitive information; however, this is a .gov website, not a .com

I too am a victim of 623-444-2173.  I am pursuing this charge ($11.85) with my bank as I never did any business with them.  The account was posted 12-6-07.  I have tried to contact by phone (no response) and e-mail (no response)  I agree with the rest of the people.  Check your bank statements!  Does anyone have a good resource for recovery?

I also just got a charge on my credit card for 11.89.  I called the credit card company to have them dispute it.

same here.   just found a charge for $11.89 on my bank website this morning.    I'll be calling my bank as soon as they open and then the AG office after that....

They charged my account for $12.79. I have never even heard of this company. Contacted the bank and they are investigating.

I did not do any business with this company. Why the charge? I have reported it to my bank and to the police.

If you do this you will be in more financial difficulty than before. The FTC will not ask for your SS# over the internet.

The other appears to be the same, so it is hard to say whether the one I found via http://www.ftc.gov (the one listed above) is simply an updated version of the old one or whether the "FALSE WEBSITE" actually IS a FALSE WEBSITE.
