I usually don't answer, but I have a couple of times and it's just a cox telemarketer trying to get me to add additional services that I don't want or need. I usually just hang up on them mid-sentence.

Ditto. Usually if you talk to them, they will leave you alone for a few months, but if not, they will call and call and call.

I received a number of calls from this number recently. When I called the number which they left in a message it turned out to be a collection agency and the person I spoke with said he had never heard of Cox Communications.

623-594-1000 called. A guy asked aske for my husband (by his first name) and when I said, 'who?' he hung up. Sounded like he was in a hurry.
 I figured it was a car dealer because my husband likes to check out new cars..and doesn't tell me!

they call me all the time also, as if waiting for service forever and then not getting any help is not annoying enough now we have this, your friend in the digital age my [***]

They keep calling my cell but leave no message

This number has called my cell phone twice after coming to my house for service work.

Received a call from this number but no voicemail.  I have a Cox account but payments are always autopayed and up to date.  They must have been trying to sell something.

Got a call at 2:15 PM from this number.. But I guess since I moved recently thy would be calling to inform they moved the services to new addr too.

Got three calls today. Have received several over the last 2 weeks. Account is in good standing; suspect it is an automated caller that dials 10 numbers at once. The first one who answers gets the call and everyone else gets an empty line [went through this years ago with another company].

Verified the number they were calling had been registered by me at the Do Not Call Registry site in 2006. Per the Registry, if you have done business with a place in the last 18 months and have not asked them to not call a specific number, they may still call.

Contacted Cox by e-mail and told them the number they were dialing is used for work [I work for a hospital] and that all sales calls to this or any other number associated with this account need to stop. Heard back from them quickly, but I suspect the e-mail went overseas since their offices here closed early today. Supposedly, the "appropriate form" has been completed and the calls will stop. Time will tell.

APS referenced me and I have told them many times I don't want them callinig me.

This # keeps calling my cell EVERYDAY. I even tried answering the last 3 times & there's no one on the other end, it just disconnects. I'm completely annoyed just like everyone else. I have a Cox package, I pay my bill on time. If it's a sales call, then they should know I have a contract with them that does not allow any changes. Dumb-[***]. Sorry, but enough is enough. Annoy the hell out of the customers, THAT'LL win 'em over.

I got sporadic calls from this number for years. I always called back to be told there was no problem with my account. I would ask why I was being call and they said there was no way to tell.

Finally I told them I was going to file harassment complaints and demanded to speak to the CEO's office etc. After repeatedly offering to bring down the four horsemen of the apocalypse upon them, they agreed to look into why I was being called.

They found that my number, despite all promises to the contrary, was in an outgoing telemarketing system and they did remove it. Since then it has not occurred.

So, they can track down why you are being called, they just don't want to take the time. Be very persistent. Let them know it is an issue and that you will continue to call them daily until they find out why and fix it. Eventually, they will decided that you are taking up more of their time than fixing it would.

This is Cox Communications, as others have noted.  I received a couple of missed calls and a hang-up voicemail from them before I called to see what they wanted.  I am a Cox customer for internet and cable, and it turns out they were calling to try to sell me landline phone service.

My cable was out and was serviced today; my guess is that the call was a follow up for today's service.  I pay my bills, so it's not a collection call.

its actual people you guys are smokin something. They called me to tell me I had just spoke to them via chat and made service changes. Which I did not. However IT IS NOT AN AUTO DIALER. When you can it back make sure you have cleaned your ears out to hear there are REAL PEOPLE on the line.

This number just called me and left a message...it was Cox Communications. They were confirming an installation appointment I made for my new house - it was a computerized message, not a live person.
