I keep on getting calls and hang ups from this number. By googling the number I found out who they were. If they are going to call leave a message or at least answer.

Some one is calling me from this number.  They will not identify themselves or leave a message.  If this is GC Services,  they should identify themselves and leave a message.

This number has been calling for 3 - 4 weeks.  When you answer there is a muted background.  calls during & after business hours.  Please block.

    Seriously?
Didn't answer. The voicemail they left had a number to call back about a "business matter." They obviously called the wrong person because they asked for person by name.

This call is being placed to my cell number on a daily basis and I have no idea why. It leaves no message and has no response when responded to.
I have learned from the above posts that this is some kind of 'collections' process. There is absolutely no reason for me to be onm such a call\dial up list. I owe nothing to no one for any reason.
Please do what ever is possible to stop this unecessary and disturbing annoyance from this caller.
    Thank You.

Once again I am receiving unsolicited calls every day at approx. the same time from the above indicated number (626) 338-3450) identified as being in Covina, Ca.
I do not know anyone in that city and have absolutly no connection with any person, business or place in that city. These calls just started up and provide no way to connect to request their discontinuence. I was having a similar condition occur with a number from Martin, North Dakota. And as with the Covina calls ...I have absolutely no connection with anyone from that state whatsoever.
Who are these callers and why do they prevent the recipient from having the calls stop?
Any help\advice you can provide would very greatly appreciated.
I have incorporated both numbers in e-mails I have submitted to our local Ca. PUC, the Gov. 'Do Not Call' complaint center and my local and congressional representatives offices. If these [***] are in any way associated with credit collection, charities, political or other non-profit agencies and are pulling this crap, I am formulating a formal 1000 John Does letter of complaint to have them legally checked out and prosecuted for harrassment and illegal abuse of their business calling exceptions status.
    Thanks !!!!!!!!

I got a call from this number, it is GC Services, found out it was from a traffic ticket I recieved in California, out of state. Its also the attorney generals office so I guess it sounds pretty important, if you can call them back on your GC Services bill 18007275848 8am-9pm Its pretty important to consider making small payments at least when it is at this point, or at least thats what they make it sound like, Im pretty sure it is a collections agent too, kinda confused but Im sending 50 in tommorrow to at least show them I am making an effort.

I don't owe anything to anyone and I haven't ever gotten a ticket in LA.  Start with the do not call web site and click on the complaint form for debt collectors.  The FTC takes debt collectors very seriously.

    Put another way .....

Oh, dear lord, it "sounds pretty important", I'm "kinda confused", but something said "attorney general's office" and by the way, "it's pretty important" so I'm going to squint my eyes shut and throw money at the problem until the scary phone calls stop.

There you have the classic stupid way of handling third party debt collectors, which is to say laying back and letting them handle *you* all they like. Now let's talk about a smart way, which means dropping the panic and raising your suspicions.

Is it really your ticket? How old is it? Does either state law require you to pay? Is everything said about the alleged debt accurate? Does the collector really speak for an "attorney general"? Has the collector broken laws to seize your assets with less effort? Is the collection agency licensed or bonded as your state may demand? Don't sweat bullets and assume they're all right and you're all wrong. Quite often the opposite is true.

It's now too late as of amonth ago for this commentor to sue for the FDCPA violations for which General Collection Services is known to commit. Don't be a doormat for these people. Learn your rights and save some grief.
