Not really, you're verifying they have a working number and will increase the number of bologna calls you receive. It's best not to answer and get a call blocker.

Obious robot call, hangs up mid-4th ring. Blocked. Dumb [***], all my numbers in do NOT call registry. Write your seantors and congress people demanding US Government clamp down on the robo call and foreign phish mills! Shutdown the intermediary phone companies. Oh, wait, the government is ful of robots, too!

How the heck did they get my cell number?  Called, but left no message.

They have robo dials and they do it by computer. You need to tell the FCC by phone. Because they will never answer on Facebook or e-mail. Just call them and let them know. I wish they would unplug these crooks. I get them all the time. I'm thinking about disconnecting my landline.

I said hello. The person just hung up, did not speak or say "sorry". I know no person in SanFrancisco, no company, as I have retired and have no debts, credit cards or vendors billing me for any personal services. I am old and this is nerve-wracking.

Got a call on my cell phone from this # at 6:32 pm EST on 5/24/16. Only reason I even answered was because the contact pic that showed up when my phone rang was of my son, so I naturally assumed it was him calling. The # didn't show up until after I answered & I immediately knew it wasn't him. Yes, it said it wasn't a sales call but that I had been selected to win...... - I didn't listen any further as soon as I realized it wasn't my son (was a robo call) & hung up at that point. Apparently they've hijacked my son's cell phone #, that's why his pic showed up on my phone when the call came in. Very disgusted at this sort of thing !!!
