Frank Washington Merchant Services... immediately goes into a recording.

Called and left a recorded message about the new credit card machines required for businesses. (The chip readers to help prevent identity theft).They said that there was no charge. The chip readers are real, but is this company a scam? Wouldn't the new chip readers  come from the individual credit card companies? Does anyone here know for sure? Thanks.

The new readers would come from you current credit card processor.  If these people are cold calling you, most likely they are crooks trying to con you into signing up for their services at an exorbitant rate.

It is 100% SCAM!!!  Do NOT give them any personal info or your credit card number. This ROBO-CALL is trying to SCAM you into updating your credit card machine into the new readers.......you will receive a new machine from your current provider!!! Do not let these people SCAM you out of your money!!!

Landline, Hanover Park, IL robo-spammer msg left "free wireless equipment, no startup costs, no annual costs, direct-rate comparison, charge card" Better Merchant crap. Yadda, yadda, yadda... “free wireless equipment, no start-up costs, no annual fees, direct rate comparison…” Another endless message credit card and Better Merchant Services total scam.

Merchant Services using a new program for telemarketing where they show a person name " Mary Woods"  instead of their real name.
