So, I get a call with this number showing on the caller i.d. on my cell phone.
I don't answer it, because I don't recognize it.
I call the number and they answer with a message that says thanks for call Nicor Gas.
Then it disconnects.
I look up Nicor Gas  ( a different number than called me).
I asked why they called.
They told me they didn't and they don't have my number.
Then I called back the original number and they play a recording that says if you don't want anymore calls, they'll remove you from their list or something like that.
So apparently, someone's spoofing Nicor Gas.
I have blocked the number. And suggest others do too.

The old credit card scam.  Called on Saturday afternoon!  Don't we even get a break on weekends any more?  Now blocked with hundreds of others.

Called 9/5 @ 9:00 am, CID Elburn IL. Didn't answer.

This number called my cell this morning, and my call-block app stopped it. Has been reported by other users as "Telemarketer/DNC violation" - in my opinion, this means Scammer.
