- mlgot a call from someone at directbuy, they told me i filled out a card with my number around christmas time, which i doubt i did, then asked me 3 very generic questions to "verify" it was me, the questions would apply to 99.999999% of the population. then told me they would email me information i needed to bring somewhere and they would give me a prize....no thanks i said and they hung up on me
- Caller: direct buy
- Call type: Telemarketer
- me2Claimed I filled out something relating to direct buy at Christmas time, too. I told him immediately I did not, did not answer any questions and asked him to remove my number from calling list. Showed up as llinois call on caller ID.
- dslanksA man named "Bill" called asking whether I or my spouse filled out a raffle ticket while visiting a retail store back in March. I told him that was highly unlikely and he pressed a liitle. But, I assured him we did not. He apologized and said he must have the wrong person. Sounded like a scam to me.
- mb123I just received a call from this number, his name was Travis as well. He said he was calling because they grabbed my name out of a raffle at some mall. I told him I had not been to a mall in months. He pressed asdking, "Are you sure you haven't been in the last couple of months?". I said no. He said, "So you weren't at "X" Mall in November? ...very pushy. Once I got sarcastic and said, "Well November was more than a "couple" of months ago". He immediately got short and ended the phone call. Scam.
- Caller: Direct Buy
- nobodygot a call from this number. thankfully I have my ringer off. no message. WTF.
- Chicago Western SuburbsCalled my cell phone..only two (2) people..my daughters...have that very private number...I didn't answer...Obviously, a SCAMMER based on these previous comments!
- Caller: Scammers, Inc.
- Call type: Prank
- Chicago western suburbs 2Bogus. Tried to tell me I'd win a prize, but wouldn't tell me how I win or what the prize was, so I hung up on him.

- Chicago Resident| 1 replyTried calling back but no answer..
- Bill replies to Me| 1 replySome guy called from 630-394-4202 and stated that he was from direct buy and that I filled out a coupon with my cell phone number on it. I told him I have never done that. I told him that my number was on the do-not-call list and asked him what store. He rattled off a bunch of stores. I told him that was not good enough and I hung up. This is obviously some sort of scam
- MK replies to Chicago ResidentNever call back! You are just confirming to them that you have a live number. That will just make them call you more.
- MKCalled today, Jacob with Direct Buy. I didn't let him get more than 10 words out of his month, Said not interested and don't call me and hung up. There is no way they got my cell phone # from any coupon filled out. I never do that anymore. The win a prize things are always scams. Caller ID just said IL call and since I know many people with this area code I took a chance and answered. I rarely answer unknown calls.
- Caller: Direct Buy
- Call type: Telemarketer
- S. Elgin guyI answered since it's the same area code as me and I know a lot of people with that. It was some guy claiming I filled out my number on a prize for a TV or a car at walmart or something. I said no I didn't and hung up. I never put my number on those things. It's always time share crap so there is no way he got my number that way. I call bull$#*t on this guy.
- Caller: Didnt cstch it.
- My Family replies to BillNearly the exact same phone call I had with the guy. He did say he was from DB Promotions. It is crazy to know someone would lie to get you to talk to them but be truthful on the company they work for. It's like look at me! you can call the FCC and collect $1500. Guess what, they call again and I will get the FCC involved and collect my $1500 they get fined.
- Some guySame. Indian caller who claimed his name was Jake. Direct buy. I filled something out and I won. He got mad and called me a fool when he realized he was on my hook. Dumb little fish. Scammers are having a harder time now because so many people are aware. Informed the police and Feds.
- Caller: Not Direct Buy
- AllisonSame thing that everyone else wrote below. Told me I filled something out and that I won a prize. I just hung up.
- THas to be a scam. Both my cell phone and my wife's phone rang at exactly the same time - and I do mean exactly from the same number. What are the idds of that?
- AaronI rarely give out my cell and I used to work in The 630 area code so I answered. Some guy was saying that I won some contest that I filled out at bestbuy or target around Easter... I told them to call back later so I could do some research on them. Let's see if they'll call back...
- Caller: DP/DB Promotions

- SarahA man called my cell phone from this number on August 8, 2015 at 11:37 a.m. I was taking a nap and he sounded like a telemarketer, so I said I wasn't interested after his first sentence and then hung up.
