These people say the represent the police, they don't
We have nothing to do with these telemarketers , we don't see a dime of theit fund raising, we get all our funding from; taxes, federal grants, income from traffic tickets, arrests, we get a lot from dui's and people not wearing seat belts
, but not a cent from 630-449-4283 so if you give them anything you are throwing it away, you might as well put it in the mail to your local police or sheriff dept
that is the only way they will see it, just send it in as a donation made out to cash.

also a scam, I work for the FCC and you can tell them the FCC said don't give them a dime , no donations should ever be given over the telephone, or solicited over the phone,legitimate charities won't call you on your phone.
You can call legit charities and donate, but don't fall for them calling you.

Automated call with the Chief of Police donation scam. It is not a real person but programmatic responses. Block the number.

I'm getting so tired of these calls!  They come in as "out of area" or "unknown caller."  To keep the phone from ringing, I just pick up and hang up.  If I don't know the number, I don't say "hello."  If they want people to answer, they're name should appear on the readout.

Went to VM and hung up.  Glad I didn't answer, thanks for the other posts.

Caller ID said Aurora Illinois. I did not answer.
